𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰.

On October 15, 2025, the Mandaue City Health Office, through the Paknaan Health Center and in partnership with Sunpride Foods Inc., conducted a Mobile Blood Donation Drive at the company’s premises.

The initiative aimed to promote voluntary blood donation, ensure a safe and adequate blood supply, and strengthen collaboration between the government, private sector, and community stakeholders.

𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 – 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝗽𝗮𝗼, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆

In celebration of women’s health and wellness, the Mandaue City Health Office, through the Barangay Opao Health Center, conducted a Women’s Health Caravan offering free Pap Smear, Breast Examination, and Dengue Prevention Services on October 14, 2025, at the Temporary Barangay Hall of Opao.

A total of 43 women availed of the free Pap Smear and Breast Examination, while 50 participants joined the Buntis Congress.

𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗟𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and with the support of the Local Government of Mandaue City under the leadership of Mayor Jonkie Ouano, the Mandaue City Health Office, through the National Integrated Cancer Control Program, in partnership with MIPTAC, GAD, and WOMB, conducted the Pink Lay Forum on October 12, 2025, at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.

The activity aimed to raise awareness on cancer prevention and care, highlight the support programs of PDAO and cancer patients, promote healthy nutrition among patients, and empower the community through knowledge, hope, and solidarity.

The Mandaue City Health Office joined the Elderly Filipino Week 2025 Opening Salvo on October 11, 2025, at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex, themed “Embracing Age: Living a Life with Dignity and Purpose.”

The activity highlighted the importance of promoting the health and well-being of our senior citizens. A total of 43 elderly participants availed of the free medical consultations during the event.

On October 10, 2025, the Mandaue City Health Office, through the Basak Health Center, held a Women’s Health Caravan at Gaisano Grand Mall Basak.

A total of 40 women availed of free Pap smear and breast examination services under the Kadagatan Cluster.

The activity reaffirms the city’s commitment to women’s health, emphasizing early detection and prevention of cervical and breast cancer.

On October 9, 2025, the Mandaue City Health Department, through the Paknaan Health Center, successfully administered the second dose of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.

This vaccination drive is a vital initiative to protect young girls from HPV-related diseases and promote their long-term health and well-being.

The Department of Health awarded a Certificate of Quality Service to the Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTC) for meeting DOH standards under the National Rabies Prevention and Control Program.

On October 8, 2025, the Mandaue City Health Office (MCHO), together with the City Social Welfare Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Office, and volunteers from the University of Cebu and University of San Carlos, conducted Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Stress Debriefing sessions for residents affected by the recent earthquake in Barangays Odlot and Guadalupe, Bogo City.

Representing MCHO were Ralph Jason Perez, RN, Jay Basubas, RN, Vivien Amante, RN, Sheilo Suplico, RN, Geraldine Dimpas, Jan Hazel Marababol.

This activity provided emotional support and promoted mental resilience, reflecting Mandaue City’s continued commitment to caring for the mental health and well-being of communities beyond its borders.

On October 8, 2025, the Mandaue City Health Office, through the Jagobiao Health Center headed by Midwife Maria Fatima Taneo, RM, and the Barangay Government of Jagobiao, in partnership with the Bidlisiw Foundation represented by Social Worker Emmanuela Lumapas and Social Work Intern Jianne Tricia Velasquez, conducted a Family Planning Session for Adolescents and Young Parents under the AMUMA Project.

The activity emphasized responsible parenthood, strengthened family support systems, and the community’s shared role in promoting the health and well-being of young mothers and their children.

On October 6, 2025, the Mandaue City Health Office, through the Paknaan Health Center and the Barangay Government of Paknaan, conducted a Women’s Health Caravan at the Paknaan Gym.

The activity promoted women’s wellness by providing family planning services, Pap smear, breast examinations, and medical consultations, ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for every woman in the community.
