UPDATE: The US Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) now calls for a Category 4 major typhoon as the possible peak intensity of TD (pre- / ) on Sunday, November 9, with 1-minute average sustained winds of 120 kts (~220 km/h) in the US scale.
When converted to 10-min winds, it would be around 105 kts (~195 km/h), which is aligned to PAGASA's current forecast peak intensity as a super typhoon.
There's no change in the forecast track, and still showing a possible landfall scenario in the Northern-Central Luzon on Monday, November 10. This was also supported by PAGASA, JMA and the global models.
The forecast scenarios can still be changed. Keep monitoring the updates from the official agencies.
Note: JTWC has higher wind intensity values as they are using 1-minute average winds, as compared to the 10-min winds of the JMA and PAGASA.
