Clinica Prime Supports Expanded Access to Medicines Through PhilHealth GAMOT Launch

Clinica Prime joined the official rollout of the Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment (GAMOT) benefit under the YAKAP Program of Philippine Health Insurance Corporation in Central Visayas, held on February 17, 2026 at the Cebu Provincial Capitol Social Hall.

As an accredited YAKAP and GAMOT-ready provider, Clinica Prime plays a critical role in enabling members and their dependents to access essential medicines for common and chronic conditions. Through comprehensive primary care consultations and proper medical assessment, the clinic facilitates eligibility for up to ₱20,000 worth of covered medicines annually under the program.

During the launch walkthrough, Clinica Prime demonstrated its integrated outpatient care model in partnership with La Nueva Pharmacy, which operates 22 branches across Cebu — providing patients with accessible and convenient options for medication dispensing. The collaboration showcased a coordinated pathway from consultation and prescription to medicine availability, reinforcing a seamless continuum of outpatient care.

The event was attended by Clinica Prime executives Mr. Edmun H. Liu, Clinica Prime Chairman of the Board and LH Paragon, Inc. Group Chief Finance Officer and Dr. Bryan Albert Lim, Clinica Prime President and Chief Medical Officer, as a strong show of institutional support and strategic alignment with PhilHealth’s direction toward preventive and accessible healthcare.

We are honored to share that Philippine Health Insurance Corporation has officially launched the GAMOT (Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment) benefit in Central Visayas under the YAKAP Program, strengthening outpatient care and expanding access to essential medicines for Filipino families.

As a proud YAKAP and GAMOT-ready provider, Clinica Prime, together with our partner pharmacy La Nueva Pharmacy, was one of the selected healthcare institutions chosen to demonstrate the full patient journey from consultation with a YAKAP-accredited primary care physician to prescription generation and medicine dispensing at an accredited GAMOT facility.

Through GAMOT, qualified members and dependents may access up to ₱20,000 worth of essential medicines annually for common and chronic conditions, helping reduce out-of-pocket expenses and prevent avoidable hospitalizations.

The facility seeks a closer collaboration on the most recent PhilHealth benefit packages, specifically the primary care benefit YAKAP, cancer screening tests, the soon to be launched GAMOT in Central Visayas, and the Preventive Oral Health Services in Primary Care.

During their meeting, PRO VII officials and ClinicaPrime executives discussed ways to ensure that the facility remains fully aligned with current policies and accreditation standards. The meeting also served as a venue to strengthen the provision of primary care services that directly benefit PhilHealth members and their dependents.

By upholding PhilHealth’s standards and requirements, the facility continues to strengthen its foundation for providing patient-centered and quality care, advancing public health and supporting PhilHealth in the delivery of accessible healthcare services.
