With great pride, UCMed congratulates Dr. Rythnel Sabang and Dr. Alyssa Marie Recinto-Clemente, Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) residents, for achieving another successful international research milestone during the 33rd World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility (COGI), "All About Women's Health", in Rome, Italy, on November 27-29, 2025.

Dr. Sabang, a 2nd-year OB-GYN resident, and Dr. Clemente, a 3rd-year OB-GYN resident, showcased their respective research entitled โ€œA Series of Unfortunate Events: A Case series on Luteoma of Pregnancyโ€ and โ€œMaternal Group B Streptococcus Colonization Rate and its Effects on Neonatal Outcome Among Mothers under Maternity Package Deal Program in a Tertiary Hospital in Cebu City from January 2022 to January 2024.โ€

Dr. Armando V. Tan, Medical Director, Dr. Shalimar Hernandez, Assistant Training Officer, Dr. Charisse Tan, Training Core, and the rest of the UCMed Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology Team joined them and gave their full support and guidance that turned this achievement into a team triumph.

We are honored to be recognized by the Philippine Hospital Association as the 1st Runner-Up for the Most Outstanding Hospital Merit (Private Hospital Category) during the 2025 PHA Outstanding Hospital Awards held last November 19 at the Manila Hotel.

We also celebrate the achievement of the UC School of Medicine, ranking Top 3 in the October 2025 Physician Licensure Exam (50โ€“100 examinees) with a 98.39% passing rate.

Stepping into this year's World Diabetes Day with purpose, the UCMed Diabetes & Nutrition Center (DNC) joins the annual celebration of the Philippine College of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism (PCEDM), carrying the theme "Diabetes and Well-Being: Holistic Diabetes Care at Work - No One Left Behind."

The celebration is geared towards workplace wellness and advocates its IWAS Strategy.

The DNC, in partnership with Nestlรฉ Health Science, continued the effort with a lecture for UCMed employees and patients, teaching practical ways to manage and prevent diabetes, last November 14, 2025.
