Sleep needs vary by age. Newborns' internal clocks aren't fully developed. They can sleep up to 18 hours a day, divided about equally between night and day. Newborns should be wakened for feeding if they sleep more than 4 hours until they have good weight gain, usually within the first couple of weeks. After that, it's OK if a baby sleeps for longer periods.

The goal is for babies to fall asleep by themselves and learn to soothe themselves and go back to sleep if they wake up in the middle of the night.

Did you know that as a baby’s age progresses, the distribution of skin affected by eczema tends to change too?

👶 - Infant: In non-mobile infants, the face and scalp are commonly affected.

🚼 - In later infancy, the extensor surfaces of the extremities, trunk, face, and neck become involved.

👧 - In older children and adolescents, the primary focus is often the wrists, ankles, antecubital and popliteal fossae, and neck.

Children’s skin changes with age, as may their skin preferences. What they used as a baby may no longer fit the needs of what their skin likes now.

Diaper rash is often caused by prolonged wetness or soiled diapers. But there are many triggers. Diarrhea or liquidy p**p is a common cause. Diapers that are too tight or not well-ventilated.

Diaper creams with zinc or lanolin may trigger rash on sensitive skin. But diaper rash has an easy solution. Air dry bum bum. Change diapers often and wipe skin clean. Dab (don’t rub) Bebebalm Bye Dry on clean skin every diaper change.
