Good News : Libre na ang Gamot mo!

Inilunsad ng PhilHealth ang GAMOT Program bilang malaking hakbang para mas mapadali ang access sa healthcare ng mga Pilipino.

Simula Agosto 21, 2025, maaaring makatanggap ang mga miyembro ng PhilHealth ng hanggang ₱20,000 halaga ng gamot kada taon sa ilalim ng GAMOT Program.

Kung miyembro ka ng PhilHealth, maaari kang magparehistro sa YAKAP (Your Konsulta and Access Point), kumuha ng tamang reseta, at makuha ang iyong gamot sa mga accredited na pasilidad ng GAMOT.

May ₱20,000 taunang coverage ang programa para makatulong sa paggastos sa gamot, upang mas mapadali ang gamutan at paggaling ng mga pasyente.

Ang GAMOT program ng PhilHealth ay isang malaking hakbang para mas mapabuti ang access sa serbisyong pangkalusugan ng lahat ng Pilipino.

Sa ₱20,000 taunang coverage, mas madaling mapangalagaan ang kalusugan at makatutok sa paggaling nang hindi masyadong nag-aalala sa gastos ng mga gamot.

‼️PBBM’s ₱60B PhilHealth Fund Return a Crucial Move for Universal Health Care, says Sec. Herbosa‼️

The Department of Health supports President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s decision to return the ₱60 billion unused surplus/excess funds to PhilHealth. As Chair of the PhilHealth Board of Directors, DOH sees this move as crucial for ongoing efforts to expand health benefits and services for all Filipinos.

The ₱60 billion given back by PhilHealth to the national treasury following the command of the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA) was used for health. It paid for Health Emergency Allowances (₱27.45 Bn), Medical Assistance to Indigents and Financially Incapacitated Patients (₱10 Bn), medical equipment (₱4.1 Bn), health facilities enhancement including three DOH health facilities (₱5.06 Bn), and government counterpart financing for foreign-assisted projects that also deal with the social determinants of health (₱13 Bn).

The return of the ₱60 billion to PhilHealth aligns with the DOH's objective to increase the government's share in current health expenditures, from around 40% to 70%, which will significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs of Filipino patients.

As its supervising agency, DOH will continue supporting PhilHealth in its role to pay the health benefits of all Filipinos. Right now, Zero Balance Billing happens at DOH hospitals because DOH pays more than PhilHealth. Over time, PhilHealth should be paying most, if not all, of the hospital bill.

DOH: PANATILIHIN ANG KALIGTASAN KUNG SASALI SA MALAKING PAGTITIPON

Nagpaalala ang DOH na gawing prayoridad ang kaligtasan sa magagandap na malaking pagtitipon kaugnay ng Trillion Peso March bukas, araw ng Linggo.

Una, alamin ang detalye ng pagtitipon at ang inaasahang lagay ng panahon. dalhin ang essentials gaya ng face mask, alcohol o hand sanitizer, pamaypay, tubig, sumbrero, tuwalya, at maintenance medicines.

Kumain nang sapat bago umalis, magsuot nang magaan at kumportableng damit, at tiyaking fully charged ang cellphone.

Payo ng DOH, hangga’t maaari ay huwag nang dumalo kung nakararanas ng mga sintomas ng sakit gaya ng lagnat, ubo, at sipon para maiwasan ang hawahan.

Habang nasa pagtitipon, panatilihin ang kalinisan ng kamay, uminom ng sapat na tubig, at huwag makipagtulakan para maiwasan ang aksidente.

Kung makaramdam naman ng pagkahapo ay sumilong o pumwesto sa mas preskong espasyo para makapagpahinga.

Bigyang-pansin din ang mga kasama lalo na ang mga bata, nakatatanda, at PWDs.
