ICYMI: PCG Extends Health and Humanitarian Services to Aeta Communities in Bataan.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted a Community Welfare and Outreach Program at Capinpin Seaport, Orion, Bataan, on 12 December 2025, delivering essential health services and humanitarian assistance to approximately 300 Aeta beneficiaries from the municipalities of Abucay and Bagac, Bataan.

One of the primary features of the activity was the Dental Mission spearheaded by the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon, COMMO RODOLFO S INGEL JR (DS) PCG. The dental team provided consultations, oral health education, and basic dental services, addressing the immediate dental needs of the indigenous community and promoting overall wellness.

The outreach initiative was led by the First Lady of the Republic of the Philippines, AUX VICE ADMIRAL LOUISE ARANETA-MARCOS PCGA, with the participation of PCG COMMANDANT, ADMIRAL RONNIE GIL GAVAN PCG, Bataan Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III, Orion Mayor Antonio Raymundo Jr., and Abucay Mayor Erik Martel. Their presence emphasized the unified efforts of the national and local government in ensuring that indigenous peoples have access to vital public services.

Through this meaningful activity, the PCG reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive service and humanitarian assistance, strengthening partnerships with local stakeholders while uplifting the well-being of Aeta communities in Bataan.

LOOK: OTCGDS Conducts Gender and Development (GAD) Capacity Building and Enhancement Workshop 2025.

The Office of the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon successfully conducted the Gender and Development (GAD) Capacity Building and Enhancement Workshop 2025, from December 2025 at Malibiran Farm Resort, San Luis, Batangas.
The three-day activity endeavored to improve organizational performance, support gender-responsive governance, and boost personnel morale through in-house capacity-building activities. The event offered an opportunity for the personnel to gain a better understanding of GAD principles and their application in planning, policy-making, and service delivery in their organization.

Additionally, this workshop formed part of OTCGDS Year-End Assessment, which gave personnel a chance to look back at their achievements and align future strategies with inclusive and gender-responsive governance frameworks.

In his closing remarks, Coast Guard Dental Surgeon COMMO RODOLFO S INGEL JR (DS) PCG emphasized that the conduct of the GAD activity and the Year-End Assessment demonstrates OTCGDS commitment to performance excellence anchored on gender-responsive governance.

The critical and successful conduct of the GAD Capacity Building and Enhancement Workshop manifests OTCGDS continuous commitment to improve institutional performance through inclusive, gender-responsive, and proactive governance in support of this Philippine Coast Guard vision of service with integrity and excellence.

OTCGDS Conducts Promotion Deliberation for Non-Officer Personnel

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: The Office of the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon (OTCGDS) successfully conducted the deliberation for the promotion of Non-Officer personnel on 04 December 2025 at the 4th Floor, Delgado Building, 637 Bonifacio Drive, South Harbor, Port Area, Manila.

The activity was chaired by CAPT DONNA D MALDO (DS) PCG, Deputy, OTCGDS together with the members of the deliberation panel: LCDR KRISTEL CASANDRA L TAYLAN (DS) PCG, OIC, Admin Branch, OTCGDS, LT AL KHUDRI A YUSOP (DS) PCG, OIC, Operation Branch, OTCGDS, CPO Lynneth J Balibalos PCG, Command Master Chief, OTCGDS and PO1 Michael A Mojar PCG, CMAA, OTCGDS. The board ensured a fair, transparent, and objective evaluation process for all candidates.

A total of 36 CGDS personnel were carefully assessed based on performance, qualifications, readiness, and suitability for advancement to their next higher ranks. The rigorous screening highlights the commitment of the OTCGDS to recognize deserving personnel and uphold integrity in all aspects of career development.

The Office of the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon, through the Coast Guard Dental Training and Research Center successfully held the joint convening ceremony for the Coast Guard Dental Clinical Support Readiness Course Class 08-2025 and the Coast Guard Dental Technician Specialization Course Class 01-2025 on 27 November 2025 at Headquarters Maritime Security and Law Enforcement Command Conference Hall, Coast Guard Base Taguig, #56 M.L. Quezon St., Purok 1, New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

RADM ALLEN J DALANGIN PCG MNSA, The Coast Guard Health Service Administrator, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker for the event, highlighted the importance of ongoing training in improving the skills and professionalism of Coast Guard personnel. Dental Operating Units (DOUโ€™s) from Manilaโ€“Cavite area participated in the workshop, including: Coast Guard Dental Dispensary, Coast Guard DenS Base Taguig, and Coast Guard DenS MSSC. The activity provided an opportunity for participants to familiarize themselves with advanced diagnostic tools designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and patient care.

OTCGDS extends its gratitude to Invictus Dent Precision for conducting the workshop and sharing their expertise in modern dental technologies. Their support contributed greatly to the successful ex*****on of the activity.

CGDS KICKS OFF FIRST-EVER SPORTSFEST 2025 WITH ENERGY, UNITY, AND CAMARADERIE

๐‘ฐ๐‘ช๐’€๐‘ด๐‘ฐ: CGDS officially launched its Sportsfest 2025 last 13 November 2025 at Coast Guard Gymnasium Base Farola, marking a dynamic and spirited celebration centered with the theme โ€œStronger Smiles, Stronger Teams: Building Camaraderie Through Sports and Service.โ€ The event showcased the commitment of CGDS personnel to fostering teamwork, physical wellness, and a strong sense of community within the unit.

The opening program began with an impressive parade of teams, each contingent proudly representing their colors and embodying unity and pride.

Participants were then energized through a lively and engaging Zumba session, which aimed to boost morale, encourage physical fitness, and create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and enjoyment among attendees.

The competitive spirit came alive as the festivities continued with a thrilling basketball match, where skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship were on full display. The excitement carried over to the classic Tug of War, a crowd favorite that tested the strength, coordination, and determination of each team. The event concluded with a friendly yet competitive series of Badminton games, showcasing agility, focus, and camaraderie.

As the first annual CGDS Sportsfest, this milestone event served not only as a celebration of athletic excellence but also as a testament to the unity, resilience, and brotherhood shared by CGDS personnel. It highlighted the importance of cultivating wellness and strengthening interpersonal relationships within the organization.
