𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Coast Guard Dental convenes pre deployment and specialization courses to improve technical readiness.

The Office of the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon, through the Coast Guard Dental Training and Research Center successfully held the joint convening ceremony for the Coast Guard Dental Clinical Support Readiness Course Class 08-2025 and the Coast Guard Dental Technician Specialization Course Class 01-2025 on 27 November 2025 at Headquarters Maritime Security and Law Enforcement Command Conference Hall, Coast Guard Base Taguig, #56 M.L. Quezon St., Purok 1, New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

RADM ALLEN J DALANGIN PCG MNSA, The Coast Guard Health Service Administrator, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker for the event, highlighted the importance of ongoing training in improving the skills and professionalism of Coast Guard personnel. 𝓛𝓞𝓞𝓚: The Dental Officers of CGDS proudly participated in the PDA Luzon Convention 2025 held on 25–26 November 2025 at the SMX Convention Center, Clark, Pampanga.

The annual convention brought together dental professionals from across Luzon, providing a dynamic platform for knowledge-sharing, professional development, and networking. Throughout the two-day event, CGDS representatives engaged in lectures, product demonstrations, and discussions on the latest advancements in dental practice and technology.

Their attendance underscores the CGDS ongoing commitment to continuous learning and excellence in dental service. By immersing themselves in new techniques, innovations, and best practices, CGDS Dental Officers further strengthen their capability to deliver high-quality oral health care to the men and women of the Philippine Coast Guard.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Office of the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon (OTCGDS) spearheaded a hands-on demonstration on Digital X-ray Technology and Intraoral Scanning aimed at enhancing the technical competencies of Coast Guard dental personnel, today, 24 November 2025 at 4th Floor Deldado Building, Bonifacio Drive, Port Area Manila.

Dental Operating Units (DOU’s) from Manila–Cavite area participated in the workshop, including: Coast Guard Dental Dispensary, Coast Guard DenS Base Taguig, and Coast Guard DenS MSSC. The activity provided an opportunity for participants to familiarize themselves with advanced diagnostic tools designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and patient care.

OTCGDS extends its gratitude to Invictus Dent Precision for conducting the workshop and sharing their expertise in modern dental technologies. Their support contributed greatly to the successful ex*****on of the activity.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the CGDS to strengthen its capabilities and remain at the forefront of innovative dental practice.

CGDS KICKS OFF FIRST-EVER SPORTSFEST 2025 WITH ENERGY, UNITY, AND CAMARADERIE

𝑰𝑪𝒀𝑴𝑰: CGDS officially launched its Sportsfest 2025 last 13 November 2025 at Coast Guard Gymnasium Base Farola, marking a dynamic and spirited celebration centered with the theme “Stronger Smiles, Stronger Teams: Building Camaraderie Through Sports and Service.” The event showcased the commitment of CGDS personnel to fostering teamwork, physical wellness, and a strong sense of community within the unit.

The opening program began with an impressive parade of teams, each contingent proudly representing their colors and embodying unity and pride.

Participants were then energized through a lively and engaging Zumba session, which aimed to boost morale, encourage physical fitness, and create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and enjoyment among attendees.

The competitive spirit came alive as the festivities continued with a thrilling basketball match, where skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship were on full display. The excitement carried over to the classic Tug of War, a crowd favorite that tested the strength, coordination, and determination of each team. The event concluded with a friendly yet competitive series of Badminton games, showcasing agility, focus, and camaraderie.

As the first annual CGDS Sportsfest, this milestone event served not only as a celebration of athletic excellence but also as a testament to the unity, resilience, and brotherhood shared by CGDS personnel. It highlighted the importance of cultivating wellness and strengthening interpersonal relationships within the organization.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: A successful Dental Mission was conducted on 19 November 2025 at Villa Cielo, Buguey, Cagayan, providing much-needed oral health services to residents in the community. The initiative addressed the continuing need for accessible dental care in remote and underserved areas of the region.

This outreach program was a joint initiative led by the by OB Montessori, in close collaboration with key partners including the Local Government Units, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, UST Golden Cross and Saber Alumni Association, Inc., the Office of the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon, and the Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon. The mission was further strengthened by the participation of dedicated volunteers and local organizers whose contributions ensured the smooth and effective delivery of services.

The success of the Dental Mission at Villa Cielo serves as a meaningful reminder of the impact of coordinated outreach programs, bringing vital healthcare services directly to the people who need them most.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: On 18 November 2025, a Medical and Dental Mission was successfully conducted at Barangay Manga, Peñablanca, Cagayan.

This community outreach was made possible through the collective efforts of the Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, Local Government Units, OB Montessori, the Office of the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon, Coast Guard Medical Station NELZN, as well as dedicated volunteers and local partners.

The initiative aimed to address the need for accessible basic health and dental services in underserved communities such as Barangay Manga.

This mission serves as a strong reminder that meaningful impact is achieved when organizations and individuals unite with a shared goal—bringing essential care to those who need it most.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: On 17 November 2025, COMMO RODOLFO S INGEL JR (DS) PCG, Coast Guard Dental Surgeon, spearheaded the formal installation of a new Dental Chair at the Coast Guard Dental Station Northeastern Luzon (CG DenS NELZN) located at the Philippine Coast Guard compound in Carig, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

This development further strengthens the Philippine Coast Guard’s dedication to safeguarding the health and well-being of its personnel. The newly installed equipment is expected to elevate the quality and efficiency of dental services provided to Coast Guard personnel across the Northeastern Luzon area.

On the same day, COMMO INGEL JR (DS) PCG, together with representatives from OB Montessori and personnel from the Office of the Coast Guard Dental Surgeon (OTCGDS), also paid an official visit to the Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon (CGDNELZN), under the leadership of CAPT ROLANDO LORENZANA PCG, located at No. 3 Turingan Bldg., Campos St., Caritan Centro, Tuguegarao City.

The visit underscored the importance of collaborative leadership, strengthened partnerships, and shared resources in enhancing operational readiness and ensuring the continued welfare of Coast Guard personnel across all units.
