About 𝐖𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬

WunderKids is home to the 𝑭𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒄 (𝑭𝒂𝑵𝑪𝒊), the first clinic-based pediatric nutrition center in the country.

𝗙𝗮𝗡𝗖𝗶 is composed of pediatric nutrition–trained nutritionist-dietitians with extensive experience in managing both common and complex nutrition-related conditions in children. Care is delivered through a collaborative, interdisciplinary model, where pediatricians, nutritionists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals work together to optimize nutrition, feeding skills, and overall development.

This team-based approach ensures that nutrition care goes beyond the plate, supporting children as a whole through thenintegration of different professionals perspectives.

Dr. Jeremiah Torrico is excited to share that his research with Dr. Maria Lourdes Genuino and Mr. John Eric Sulit, entitled 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗠𝗡𝗥𝗦) 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, will be presented at ASPEN 2026 in Long Beach, Florida!

This work highlights the burden of pediatric malnutrition and the importance of choosing the right screening tools to identify children who need timely nutrition intervention.

Dr. Torrico is grateful for the chance to share insights, learn from experts, and advocate for better nutrition care for children everywhere.
