Get Your Hearing Tested. Most people won’t notice their hearing is declining until it’s already too late.
The World Health Organization estimates over 1 billion young people are at risk of permanent hearing damage from personal listening devices.
The number that matters: 85 decibels.
That’s the safe threshold. Most people listen to music, podcasts, and videos at 100 decibels or more. That’s the equivalent of standing next to a running lawnmower. Pumped directly into your ear canal.
The simple rule audiologists recommend: the 60/60 rule. Listen at no more than 60% volume for no more than 60 minutes at a time. Then rest your ears.
