Percutaneous Drainage of Kidney/Retroperitoneal Abscess
- is a minimally invasive medical procedure where a drain/tube is inserted through the skin to remove fluid, most commonly from abscesses or fluid collections in the abdomen, retroperitoneum or pelvis.
- It's a procedure used to manage infections and other conditions where fluid is trapped inside the body.

- an 84 year old female noted to have 400 to 500ml of abscess or pus by CT scan presenting with abdominal pain and limitation of movement.

- we drained almost 400cc of pus. A pigtail/tube was placed and left for additional drainage after the procedure.

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL)
- Patient had ureter stone presenting with flank discomfort and blood in urine.

We hope for stone-free result 😊

- a process that uses acoustic or high intensity sound waves (called shock waves) to break stones in the kidney, ureter and urinary bladder. It is used for removing kidney stones without surgery
- Contrast dye was injected to visualize the urine flow.
- After the procedure, tiny pieces of stone pass out of body in urine or through other natural passages.

- 45 year old seafarer male with kidney stone diagnosed with ultrasound. He underwent shockwave lithotitripsy for his work clearance. We hope for stone-free result 🙏🙏 😷
