Highlights from the Chinese New Year Thanksgiving Dinner held at East Ocean Palace last February 24, 2026, hosted by the Filipino-Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Inc., the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association, Inc., and the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center.
The celebration brought together honored guests from various institutions, the media, the CGHMC community, and other partner organizations in a gathering that reflected gratitude, unity, and cultural tradition.

Restoring Hearing, Transforming Lives.
Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center proudly celebrates a medical milestone as its Section of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery successfully performed the hospital’s first-ever Cochlear Implant Surgery last January 9, 2026.
The procedure, led by Dr. Giselle Gotamco-Lo with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, gave a 3-year-old boy with bilateral congenital hearing loss the incredible chance to hear his parents’ voices and experience the world of sound for the very first time.
This achievement brings CGHMC one step closer to making hearing rehabilitation more accessible for Filipino children and families.

Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) is one of the oldest and most-trusted hospitals in the Philippines. It was founded during the Spanish occupation in the country from charitable donations of Chinese immigrants. Backed by the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association Inc. (PCCAI), the hospital continues to grow and improve its services, commitment to the welfare of its patients.
