The HeLe project, an Automated Auditory Brainstem Response device for hearing screening test, is transforming the Philippines from a consumer of foreign medical technology into a manufacturer of high-end local innovations. Currently at Technology Readiness Level 7, the project has moved from the lab to real-world clinical trials.

The ambitious roadmap includes a nationwide rollout across all Newborn Hearing Screening Centers, ultimately integrating with the Electronic National Newborn Hearing Screening Registry. This digital shift will unify pediatric auditory data and streamline referrals, marking a major milestone in the country's journey toward universal hearing health.

On Jan 19, we explored the PHEx Clinical Practice Guidelines on Screening for Hearing Disorders with experts Dr. Ryner Jose Carrillo and Dr. Rosario Ricalde.

A huge thank you to our esteemed speaker, Dr. Ryner Jose D. Carrillo, and our moderator, Dr. Rosario R. Ricalde, for a productive and educational noon break. This session provided healthcare professionals with evidence-based strategies to improve early detection and patient outcomes.
