โ NATIONAL TROOP LEADERS FORUM 2026
(for the Official Troop Leader Chaperones of the 44th National Camp) โ
The previous month of February witnessed the gathering of Girl Scout leaders from across the country. A total of 131 Troop Leader Chaperones of the 44th National Camp successfully convened for the National Troop Leaders Forum 2026 held on February 14-16, 2026 at the World Palace Hotel in Davao City. Guided by the inspiring theme โLeading with Insight: Empowering Girls, Enriching Lives,โ the three-day training equipped leaders with the knowledge,
skills, and perspective needed to effectively mentor and safeguard the girls in their troops.
The first session by Dr. Febe Marl G. Paat on Understanding & Dealing with Todayโs Generation of Girls focused on exploring the characteristics, strengths, challenges, and evolving realities of todayโs generation. Leaders gained deeper awareness of how technology, social media, family dynamics, and societal expectations shape young girlsโ behaviors and mindsets.
Atty. Katheri Ann Charcos-Puyo highlighted the importance of gender sensitivity, equality, and inclusive leadership in her session on Gender and Development (GAD). Participants examined how gender roles and biases influence opportunities among young girls, and how leaders can actively promote fairness and empowerment.
The final session on Adolescent Female Health (AFeH) by Ms. Francine Beatriz dG. Pradez addressed essential topics on adolescence, fertility awareness, gender & sexuality, STI, HIV and AIDS, and violence against women and girls (VAWG). Leaders were oriented on proper guidance, support systems, and safety measures to ensure the well-being of girls.
Beyond the enriching sessions, the forum strengthened camaraderie among the leaders, fostering unity, collaboration, and shared commitment. The forum served both as preparation and inspirationโ reminding every participant of her vital role in shaping confident, resilient, and empowered girls and young women.
