😊 another exciting week! It's the 3rd of 52 weeks we have this year!

What exciting or new thing(s) you completed this weekend? It was snowing on my side of the world so just stayed indoor and finished my laundry + other household chores. Nothing new but still excited to be able to prep for another week. 😊

So are you now moving forward with your 2026 to do list and plan? Or you have not planned at all. It's ok wherever you are. Just start! 😊

To be able to care for the people you love, you must first take care of yourself. It’s like the advice we’re given on airplanes: put on your own oxygen mask before trying to help someone else with theirs. Taking care of yourself is a valid goal on its own, and it helps you support the people you love.

Learned that basic principle early in life like in my 20's. But of course it took another 20 years to implement my first step! 😂 20 years of missed opportunity! It's funny looking back but that's how frail we humans are. We think of something helpful but we procrastinate almost all the time! In the Philippines it's called "mañana" habit! 😊

How's your new year coming along? Done with your new set of dreams or a revised version of the old? what are your top 5 or 7?

I do have 7 every year! My top 1 concerns my health (of course) then followed by my personal faith and walk with my God, family next followed by others like friends, professional growth, work + others! Most of my "dreams" focuses on the core gifts that God gave me. 😊 rarely I venture on the unknowns!

How about you? Maybe you have a different set of dreams this year? Regardless of age we all should dream. It keeps us going and doing things that gives us fulfillment and sense of being useful!

Dreams are not just an experience while sleeping. Dreams play a crucial role in our mental and overall well being! It can shape life choices, help build a future, provide a sense of control and hope, and express one's potential. Often we use other words to describe dreams, like "pangarap" or wish or aspirations. 😊

What's the prevalence of Liver Disease particularly true non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in the Philippines?

At least 18 million Filipinos are either suffering from or at risk of fatty liver disease, a sickness considered a "silent epidemic."

This is one of the alarming pieces of information presented at the recent online press conference titled "Fatty Liver Facts: What You Need to Know About This Silent Epidemic,” organized by the Hepatology Society of the Philippines (HSP).

The “silent epidemic” is called fatty liver disease, which affects millions around the world. It has no symptoms at the early stages, which is why many people are unaware that they have it until it’s too late.

“Fatty liver disease is a little-known, potentially fatal condition affecting many people. The public can learn about it by listening to experts,” said Dr. Allan Policarpio, president of the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology.

There are two types of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) -- non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) and its more advanced type, the non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
