6am go to hospital
8am lap chole
3pm go home (if no vomiting, etc.)

Option 2: inpatient
4pm day before, go to hospital (or 6am)

8am next day, go home

difficult case. compared to elective lap chole, cases coming from ER significantly increases the difficulty level (and cost) of the operation. from the usual 30 min cases, this case took almost 3 hours (including cholangiogram due to dilated cystic duct).
