Students' Multimedia Event Reporters Society The TUP SMERS is a Multimedia and University-wide Campus-based Student Organization at TUP-Manila

The TUP SMERS (Students’ Multimedia Event Reporters Society) is a campus based student organization aiming to involve the students in any school event, interview and documenting any school activities with permission of the school authorities. Additionally this student organization will enhance their communication skills in terms of reporting, interviewing and acting skills for making short film documentaries, and develop their skills for creating video documentation in every school activities. This will also serve as school film production and documentaries with permission and guidance of the university authorities.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀!

As the sun set on November 27, 2025, soul and music took over the whole TUP grounds. Multiple talented bands from across the campus geared up for the ultimate 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬. 🎤🎸🥁

For every beat of the drum, every strung of the guitar, and every melody sung, TUPians showcased their musical prowess. Thank you for an unforgettable display of talent, TUP Bands! 🤟🏼🎶

Furthermore, Fun and culture collided on the morning of November 28, 2025 with the beloved 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐡𝐢: 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲🏐🇵🇭 played by all colleges such as the CAFAtids, COSah, COEbigans, Liberalians, Edukistas, and CITizens while showing sportmanship and teamwork!

Later that night, the 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 happened! It was accompanied by different TUP Bands such as Melodiya 🎶, and colorful performances brought by sensational drag queens✨.

This 2-day celebration of every TUPians made us remember what college life really is for: it's not all about exams and activities but about building friendships and sharing meaningful memories. Congratulations on a wildly successful 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓!

LOOK: The oath-taking of newly Accredited Student Organizations A.Y. 2025-2026 of TUP was held during the flag ceremony on October 20, 2025, with VPAA Ryan Reyes conducting it.
Along with 76 other college and non-college-based organizations, SMERS officers, together with the organization's adviser, Ma'am Ma. Jolina Litan, took a vow of dedication to the TUP community.

The Student's Multimedia Event Reporters Society (SMERS) is thrilled to declare its formal re-accreditation. Hence, members of the organization will continue to serve through their passion that includes photography, videography, scriptwriting, technicals, and multimedia.

This oath-taking serves as a binding commitment to fulfill the duty of every organization with integrity and uphold the principles of a true TUPian.

LOOK: This week's ADFA (Administration and Faculty) Sports Fest successfully brought together staff from the Manila, Cavite, and Taguig campuses, fostering a spirit of unity and healthy competition at the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP).

The two-day event which took place on November 25 and 26, 2025 across the TUP Covered Court and the TUP Grounds, was an exciting display of athletic prowess and teamwork among the university's faculty, staff, and administrators.

Numerous TUP personnel across different campuses displayed another face during the sports fest battling out in different sport categories including basketball, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis.

At the end of the day, TUP Taguig's staff prevails against TUP Admin with a close score of 58-50 in basketball. Furthermore, in volleyball, TUP Taguig brought home the beacon against TUP Cavite.
