The Division of Hematology is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its first-ever Hemophilia Workshop, held on November 26, 2025, at the Medicine Academic Complex. This half-day event brought together a diverse group of essential healthcare members, including resident physicians from the departments of medicine, emergency medicine, and rehabilitation medicine, nurses from the internal medicine wards, and pharmacists.
The workshop was designed to enhance multidisciplinary collaboration, with topics covering the basics of hemophilia, recognition of critical bleeding, and treatment of acute bleeds in the emergency setting. A highlight of the program was a special lecture delivered by Dr. Manuel Perjes, who focused on the crucial role of rehabilitation medicine in managing hemophilic arthropathy. This was followed by engaging group work discussions and presentations, culminating in a sumptuous meal.
Through this initiative, we aim to significantly advance the knowledge necessary for effectively managing patients with hemophilia in our hospital. We are committed to fostering better patient outcomes and improving the standard of hemophilia care. Once again, we extend our gratitude to all participants for actively attending and contributing to the success of our event!
