Sometimes people think service means doing big and extraordinary things. But in my journey as a Senior Service Missionary serving in Family Services/mental health, I learned something sacred.

Service often looks like listening to someone who feels invisible.
It looks like sitting with someone who is silently battling depression.
It looks like reminding a struggling heart that they are still loved, still needed, and never forgotten.

In mental health ministry, we may not always see immediate results.
But every kind word, every moment of listening, every prayer offered for someone in pain becomes a quiet miracle in their life.

As taught by President Russell M. Nelson, when we choose to follow the Savior, we become His hands to lift others.

Service heals two hearts at the same time—
the one who gives, and the one who receives.

When we serve with love, we become light for someone walking through darkness.

Depression is often a silent battle. Many people smile on the outside while carrying heavy burdens in their hearts.

As a nurse and now serving as a Senior Service Missionary in Family Services focusing on mental health, I continue to learn that depression is not weakness and it is not a lack of faith. It is a real condition that needs understanding, compassion, and support.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer someone is not advice, but a listening heart, a kind word, and the reminder that they are not alone.

Kung may kakilala tayo na dumaraan sa ganitong laban, let us choose kindness over judgment and compassion over criticism.

Together we can create a community where people feel safe to speak, to heal, and to hope again.

Unity begins when hearts choose compassion over judgment and love over division. When we stand together, support one another, and lift those who are struggling, healing becomes possible, not just for one person, but for an entire community.

As a nurse and as someone who believes deeply in the power of empathy, I have seen how kindness, patience, and understanding can mend even the most wounded hearts.

Let us remember: when we unite in love, we create a space where minds are strengthened, hearts are comforted, and hope begins to grow again.

Together, we heal. 🤍💜💗

Compassion changes everything!

In 2014, our family went through one of the most difficult moments of our lives. My husband suffered a stroke. In just one day, everything changed. The strong man who used to work hard and care for our family suddenly became weak on one side of his body. There were days of fear, uncertainty, and many silent prayers.

But in the middle of that storm, I learned the true meaning of compassion.

Compassion is not just feeling sorry for someone.
It is staying, even when life becomes difficult.
It is loving, even when the future feels uncertain.
It is serving, even when you are tired.

Day by day, step by step, with faith in God and with love in our hearts, we moved forward. My husband survived. He continues to live, drive, serve, and bless our family in his own quiet and powerful way.

His journey taught me that miracles are often wrapped in compassion, in the patience of a spouse, in the kindness of family, and in the grace of God.

Today, when I see people going through pain, illness, or trials, my heart understands them more deeply.

Because sometimes the greatest healing we can give someone is simply this:

A compassionate heart that refuses to give up on them.

Sometimes we carry burdens that no one else can see.

A heavy heart… silent tears… worries about family… struggles in marriage… loneliness… anxiety… questions we cannot answer.

Many people smile outside, but inside they are fighting battles no one knows about.

If this is you today, please remember this beautiful invitation: Come unto Christ.

You do not need to be perfect.
You do not need to have everything figured out.
You only need a humble heart willing to come to Him.

Christ understands every pain, every disappointment, and every silent prayer. He knows the weight you are carrying, and He lovingly invites you to bring it to Him.

When we come unto Him, we begin to feel peace in the middle of chaos, hope in the middle of darkness, and healing in the middle of brokenness.

No matter what you are going through today, you are not alone.
The Savior is always ready to receive you, comfort you, and help you move forward.

Come unto Him.
Be healed.
And find peace in His love.

Leadership in the Lord’s Church is not about position, it is about service, sacrifice, and love.

Today I reflect with gratitude for the inspired words of Russell M. Nelson who reminds us that the Lord knows those who labor in His work.

To all leaders, missionaries, temple workers, and every servant leader in the Church—thank you. Your quiet acts of faith, your prayers for the members, your time spent counseling, teaching, and strengthening others do not go unnoticed.

Many times leadership means carrying burdens that others cannot see. It means praying for guidance late at night, seeking revelation for those you serve, and choosing patience, compassion, and humility even when the work is difficult.

But the beautiful truth is this: the Lord knows you.

He knows your efforts.
He knows your sacrifices.
He knows your heart.

Every meeting prepared, every lesson taught, every soul lifted, every hand extended in kindness—these are sacred offerings to the Lord.

As President Nelson has taught, when we choose to serve and let God prevail in our lives, He magnifies our capacity to bless others. Leadership in the Savior’s kingdom is truly an opportunity to become more like Him.

May every leader remember that heaven is aware of your service, and your influence reaches far beyond what you may ever see in this life.

Thank you for strengthening families, guiding youth, uplifting the weary, and helping build Zion one soul at a time.

With gratitude and love for all who lead with faith.

When we choose to let God prevail in our lives, we allow Him to shape our desires, refine our hearts, and guide our decisions. Just like we learn in Come, Follow Me, true peace comes when we submit our will to His and trust His covenant path.

Even in trials, He is working on our behalf. As we pray sincerely, study the scriptures daily, and keep our covenants, we will feel His hand leading us gently and powerfully.

Let God prevail—not just on Sundays, but in our thoughts, our homes, our work, and our choices every single day. 💜

In a world full of noise, uncertainty, and silent battles, there is a peace that does not depend on circumstances. The peace that Jesus gives is calm in the storm, strength in weakness, and light in the darkest nights.

When our hearts feel heavy and our minds feel overwhelmed, He whispers, "Do not be afraid."

May His peace guard your heart today and always.

Harmony at home doesn’t happen by chance , it is created by choice.

I once heard that a beautiful home is not measured by its size, but by the peace that lives inside it. There was a family who had very little, yet every night they chose to pray together, forgive quickly, and speak kindly. They didn’t avoid disagreements but they learned to listen before reacting, to hold hands instead of pointing fingers.

Over time, their home became a place of safety. A place where mistakes were met with grace, and where love spoke louder than pride.

Unity is not about being the same. It is about choosing each other, again and again.

May our homes be filled with patience, gentle words, understanding hearts, and love that binds us together even on the hardest days.

Because true harmony at home begins with unity of heart.

Charity is more than giving.
It is more than words.
It is more than intentions.

Charity is love in action. 🤍

As a nurse, I have witnessed how one simple act of kindness can calm anxiety, ease pain, and restore hope. A gentle touch. A listening ear. A sincere prayer. A forgiving heart. These are forms of charity that don’t cost anything — yet mean everything.

In a world that sometimes feels heavy and overwhelming, choose to be the light. Choose to be the safe place. Choose to love without expecting anything in return.

Because when we give with a pure heart, we don’t just bless others — we heal parts of ourselves too.

Let us practice charity daily in our homes, in our workplace, in our ministry, and in our quiet moments.

Love deeply. Serve willingly. Forgive quickly.
That is true healing.

There was a time in my life when healing did not come from medicine alone…

As a nurse, I have seen how pain is not always physical.
Some wounds are hidden, grief from losing a loved one, fear after illness, emotional trauma from caregiving, or the quiet loneliness of trying to stay strong for your family.

When my husband survived his stroke in 2014 and I had to stop working because of my own spine condition, I realized that discipleship is not just about attending church, it is about walking with others while they are hurting.

Discipleship is choosing to sit beside someone who is silently breaking.
It is offering hope when someone has already given up.
It is reminding others that even in weakness, they are not alone.

Sometimes healing comes when:
we listen
we serve
we visit
we minister
we help someone return to the Savior
we strengthen families
we support missionary work
we encourage someone to come back to the temple

Because true disciples of Christ don’t just preach healing
hey become instruments of healing.

As we walk together in faith, we carry each other’s burdens… and in doing so, the Lord heals not only those we serve but also our own hearts and minds.
