FOR: TROPICAL DEPRESSION " "
TROPICAL CYCLONE: ALERT
ISSUED AT 11:00 AM, 21 August 2019

TROPICAL DEPRESSION "INENG" MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH AS IT MOVES SLOWLY NORTHWESTWARD.
• Today, the outer rainbands of "INENG" will bring light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas. The Southwest Monsoon will bring light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over MIMAROPA and rest of Visayas. The trough of a shallow Low Pressure Area (LPA) off the southwestern coast of Taiwan (outside the PAR) will bring light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands.
• Residents in the aforementioned areas are advised especially those living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to floods and rain-induced landslides, are advised to take precautionary measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings to be issued by PAGASA Regional Services Divisions.
• "INENG" remains less likely to make landfall on any part of the country. Furthermore, this weather disturbance may intensify into a Tropical Storm within 24 hours.
Location of eye/center At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "INENG" was estimated based on all available data at 1,155 km East of Infanta, Quezon (14.8°N, 132.4°E).
Strength: Maximum winds of up to 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h.
Movement: Moving Northwest Slowly
