Huge congratulations to Dr. Alvin Yalung, a proud ISDFI alumnus, for representing the Philippines on the global stage!

Dr. Yalung was honored at the Wounds UK 2025 Conference (Nov 10–12) at the Harrogate Convention Centre, UK, where he received the Foot in Diabetes (FDUK) Award for Excellence.

He was also the only Asian researcher and speaker granted the privilege by the European Medical Society to present his study at this prestigious event.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement—truly a world-class accomplishment!

Yesterday, November 25, 2024, DOH-EVCHD officially welcomed Dr. Catherine Layon-Miral as its new Assistant Regional Director.

Sa isang makabuluhang ceremonial turnover na isinagawa sa pangunguna ni Regional Director Exuperia Sabalberino, kasama ang outgoing OIC Assistant Regional Director na si Dr. Jean Marie Egargo, pormal na ipinasakamay kay Dr. Miral ang mahalagang responsibilidad ng pamumuno bilang katuwang sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa at serbisyong pangkalusugan sa rehiyon.

Sa kanyang malawak na karanasan at kahusayan sa larangan ng public health, tiwala ang buong DOH-EVCHD na patuloy at lalo pang magiging matagumpay ang misyon nitong itaguyod ang Universal Health Care sa buong Eastern Visayas.
