‼️SEC. HERBOSA: KAILANGAN DING BANTAYAN ANG MENTAL HEALTH LALO NA KAPAG MAY SAKUNA‼️

Nasa sa 1,522 na ang nakatanggap ng Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) at interventions sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng Cebu as of October 9, 2025. Naglatag na rin ng plano para sa psychological first aid para sa Davao Region at iba pang rehiyon na nakaramdam naman ng lindol ngayong Biyernes.

Pinagtitibay ng Department of Health ang pagpapatupad MHPSS program alinsunod sa mandato ni Pangulong B**g B**g Marcos na matiyak na hindi papabayaan ang mga nag-panic o nag anxiety, naninirahan man sila ngayon sa tent city o maging ang mga bumalik na sa kani-kanilang komunidad.

At dahil eksperto sa Emergency Medicine si DOH Sec Ted Herbosa, mandato ng kalihim na tuloy tuloy ang psychological first aid, counseling, at stress debriefing ng mga MHPSS responders para tulungan ang mga apektado ng lindol.

Ayon naman sa DOH, sa kahit anumang oras na kailanganin ang tulong, kumonsulta sa pinakamalapit na health center o primary care facility, o tumawag sa NCMH Crisis Hotline: 1553. 📞

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the LGU, private volunteers, and companies for sending much-needed relief goods to our community. Your response means so much during this difficult time.

A special thanks as well to the generous donors who, after seeing our post on free water distribution, immediately reached out to help. Because of your kindness, we were able to distribute a total of 594 bottles of 1L water to our fellow residents temporarily staying at Medellin People’s Park. The water may have been simple, but it provided comfort and relief while awaiting the larger waves of assistance.

Free bottled water is still available at TGP Medellin for those in need. Please feel free to drop by.
