Sometimes we find ourselves in the "in-between" moments of our professional lives - having just resigned from our current job, been made redundant, or anxiously waiting for a job offer. These moments make us feel anxious, helpless, and even fearful. Black Saturday is not only a time of mourning. It is a time of hopeful anticipation of the coming Easter - the resurrection of Christ - a time of preparing ourselves to celebrate and share in the glory of Jesus rising again from the dead. Today, rejoice in hope, for in your current suffering, there is abundant joy and blessing that is coming.

On Maundy Thursday, Jesus did something unexpected: He knelt and washed the feet of His disciples. The Master became the servant. The one with all authority chose humility.

In the workplace, we’re often drawn to titles, recognition, and influence. But Christ shows us that real leadership isn’t about position — it’s about posture. It’s about being willing to serve, to lift others up, and to love without condition.

As we remember the Last Supper and the commandment to love one another, may we carry this into our work. Let every task, meeting, and moment be an opportunity to serve with Christlike humility.
