Since it is Mother's Day today, I thought of posting this so that our sons -- Josh, Elijah and Baby #3 -- will know how God matched their mother and father. It is an incredible and supernatural story that even I find hard to believe when I listen to it. So you need to listen with a mustard seed of faith :-)

We posted this also because of the different dynamics of this interview. Ang saya. Tawa kami ng tawa. :-) WE also ended up sharing a few "secret" details that we have never really shared before. Like how I (Ardy) asked for the engagement ring back . (Balik mo muna yan until you are sure!) and why.

After Miriam and interviewed Ernie and Michelle Lopez about their love story, Ernie flipped the tables on us and started asking us about our love story.

DO NOT BE AFRAID! STAND FOR TRUTH! GOD WILL BE AT YOUR SIDE FOREVER

On MLK Day, I pay tribute to one of my heroes, the late great freedom fighter, Dr Martin Luther King. Today I freely share with you all this chapter from my latest novel, The Happy Entrepreneur.

Here's a short excerpt from that chapter (as you'll see, the book's main character, Tim, is inspired by what he read from a Martin Luther King devotional to give hope to his mentee, Eddie)

I WILL UPHOLD YOU
“The words I spoke to God that midnight are still vivid in my memory. 'I am here taking a stand for what I believe is right. But now, I am afraid. The people are looking to me for leadership, and if I stand before them without strength and courage, they too will falter. I am at the end of my powers. I have nothing left. I've come to the point where I can't face it alone.”

“So Dr. King says that after that prayer he experienced the ‘presence of the Divine’ and a voice telling him to ‘Stand up for righteousness, stand up for truth.’ And that ‘God will be at your side forever.’
Eddie was nodding his head and felt like a child being read a story by his father. “And then what happened po?” he asked.

“Well Dr. King says that a few nights later, their house was actually bombed! But even through that disaster, he was calm. Dr. King says here, ‘my experience with God had given me a new strength and trust.’ He knew that God would be able to give him the strength to face the storms of life.”

“The devotion ends with Isaiah 41:10. This is actually one of my most favorite Bible verses also.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

In Chapter 18 you'll see Tim continuing to mentor his young mentee, Eddie (who is struggling to get back on the road to recovery after failing in business, his relationship with his gf, and his attempt to commit su***de). Watch and listen to this video to find out what happens.
