โš ๏ธ Did You Know?
Regardless of whether gloves are worn, hand hygiene โ€” at the right times and in the right wayโ€”is still one of the most important measures to protect patients and health workers in healthcare (WHO). ๐Ÿคš

๐ŸŸข In celebration of this year's World Hand Hygiene Day, the Bicol Medical Center Infection Prevention and Control Unit (IPCU) prepared a Hand Hygiene Advocacy Station located near the entrance of the Gabaldon Building (Building J) yesterday, May 5, 2025, where clients and healthcare employees may get to know more about optimal hand hygiene practices.

The BMC IPCU team also conducted health education and distributed IEC materials at the BMC Outpatient Department to raise more awareness on hand hygiene, especially on how correct hand hygiene practices help reduce hospital infections.
