FibroScan is a non-invasive medical device that uses transient elastography to measure liver stiffness. It’s often called a “liver ultrasound” because it’s painless, quick, and uses ultrasound waves, but instead of just imaging, it quantifies liver fibrosis (scarring) and fat content.
