💡 BLS–ACLS TIP OF THE DAY!
Always prioritize early and correct use of the AED. As soon as an AED is available, turn it on, follow the voice prompts, and deliver a shock if advised — while minimizing interruptions in chest compressions. Early defibrillation is one of the strongest predictors of survival in cardiac arrest.

Check. Attach. Shock. Resume CPR. Every second counts. 🚑

💡 BLS–ACLS TIP OF THE DAY!
After return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC), post–cardiac arrest care is just as critical as CPR. Maintain adequate oxygenation, monitor blood pressure, control blood glucose, and quickly identify the cause of arrest. Proper post-arrest care improves survival and protects brain function. 🧠

Saving a life doesn’t stop at the heartbeat — continued care matters. 💙

Legal and Ethical Considerations in BLS

Saving a life goes beyond skills—it also comes with Legal and ethical responsibilities.
In Basic Life Support (BLS), responders must act in good faith, respect patient consent, follow standard protocols, and know the limits of their scope of practice. Understanding these principles helps protect both the patient and the responder during emergencies.

Being trained means knowing what to do, when to act, and how to act responsibly. 💙

🫀AED Pad Placement: Adult vs Pediatric — Know the Difference, Save a Life!

Correct AED pad placement is crucial during cardiac arrest, and it changes depending on age and body size.

Adults:
➡️ One pad on the upper right chest
➡️ One pad on the lower left side of the chest

Pediatric Patients:
➡️ Use pediatric pads when available
➡️ If pads may touch, place one on the chest and one on the back (anterior–posterior position)

Knowing when and how to adjust pad placement can make defibrillation safer and more effective. Every detail matters when a life is on the line. 💙

Be confident. Be prepared. Be trained.
