For generations, society has shaped the idea that men should stay silent, hide their feelings, and believe that showing emotions is a form of weakness.

𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙥 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙣, but about having the courage to be real, to show vulnerability, and to seek support when needed. Redefining masculinity means breaking free from the stigma that limits men from embracing their full humanity.

Being a man is not about hiding emotions, it’s about living authentically, finding balance, and showing that courage also means honesty. Let’s break the stereotype and create a society where men are free to feel, to express, and to be themselves.

IN PHOTOS: The Narra Municipal Hospital – Mental Health Clinic team served as resource speakers at the recently held Mental Health Symposium, organized by Palawan SU - Occidental Cluster Narra Campus last May 14, 2025. The event carried the theme, “Beyond the Silence: Beyond the Stigma and Building Mental Awareness.”

The symposium put emphasis on the mental health challenges faced by young adults and students, highlighting the importance of breaking the stigma and promoting help-seeking behaviors.

The NMH-MHC Team is grateful beyond words to have been part of this meaningful initiative. May this not be the end, but a beginning. Let us continue to advocate for mental health awareness and the fight against stigma 💚🩵

In observance of Holy Week, please be advised that Mental Health Clinic - Narra Municipal Hospital will be closed from April 16th, afternoon (Holy Wednesday) to April 18th (Good Friday).

Regular clinic hours will resume on Monday, April 21.
