The Guidance Center proudly announces its successful collaboration with the College of Teacher Education (CTE) in the conduct of Center for Educational Measurement, Inc. (CEM) Testing for selected undergraduate students.

📌 Testing Details:
• December 12, 2025 – CEM Advanced Placement Test (English) for 4th Year CTE students
• December 16, 2025 – CEM Philippine Aptitude Test for Teachers for 3rd Year CTE students

This collaborative effort reflects our continued commitment to evidence-based assessment, student-centered guidance services, and the holistic preparation of future educators, with the shared goal of supporting Michaelinian students’ academic readiness, career alignment, and professional development.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the College of Teacher Education faculty, administrators, and students for their cooperation and active participation in making this initiative a success.

The Guidance Center, in coordination with Health Services Office, is proud to share that the Mental Health Awareness & Su***de Prevention Symposium has officially been completed. ✨💙

Over the past sessions, we had the privilege of engaging with Junior High School, Senior High School, and College students, creating a safe space for open conversations, awareness, and understanding.

Thank you to every student, deans and principals who showed up, listened, and helped break the silence around mental health.

Also, thank you to our resource speakers who have shared with us their expertise.

Self-Care Starts Young! 💛🌟

On December 5, 2025, our Health Services Office and Guidance Center teamed up for an exciting and meaningful symposium on Physical and Mental Self-Care especially for our Elementary students!

Held at the SHS LRC, SMCC – Triangulo Campus, our students learned how to take care of their bodies, their minds, and their emotions with the help of our amazing resource speakers, Ms. Izzamae Kaite E. Padre, RPm, CMHT (School Psychometrician) and Ms. Shiela Michelle D. Aca-Ac, RN (School Nurse).

From healthy habits to positive thinking, our young learners enjoyed a day filled with awareness, empowerment, and inspiration!

Because taking care of yourself is the first step to becoming your best self.

"Be a Buddy, Not a Bully!”

December 4, 2025 marked another powerful collaboration between the Health Services Office and the Guidance Center, as we conducted an Anti-Bullying Symposium for our Junior High School students at the SMCC Quadrangle – Main Campus.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to PSSg. Pryncess Faith Z. Cabrera and PCpl. Geecynne Maye P. Taray for sharing their expertise, especially on the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313), a vital reminder that protection, respect, and dignity are rights every student deserves.

Together, we are shaping a culture of courage, compassion, and accountability.

On December 3, 2025, our Health Services Office and Guidance Center came together for an empowering "Anti-Bullying Symposium" for our Elementary students at Senior High School LRC, SMCC Triangulo Campus. With the incredible insights of our guest speaker, Amani U. Pedrosa, RSW, our young learners explored kindness, empathy, confidence, and safe ways to stand up for themselves and others.

Together, we are building a Michaelinian community where every child feels seen, valued, and protected.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Postponement of the Mental Health Awareness & Su***de Prevention Symposium

To all 3rd Year and 4th Year students,

We would like to inform everyone that the Guidance Center has postponed the Mental Health Awareness and Su***de Prevention Symposium originally scheduled for November 21, 2025.

The postponement is due to a schedule conflict regarding the use of SMCC Quadrangle, the designated venue for the event. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Tentative New Date: January 7, 2025

Although the event is moved, our commitment remains the same, no one is left behind. Every college student will still be part of this important and meaningful symposium aimed at promoting mental wellness, awareness, and support within our community.

Please stay tuned for further updates and confirmation of the final date.
