KAAGAPAY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM 2026

Mental health awareness does not happen only in conference rooms, webinars, or online talks. It happens where people actually live.

In Brgy. Tanagan, Calatagan, we brought psychoeducation directly to the community, meeting mothers in their shared spaces, listening to their realities, and creating conversations that feel safe, familiar, and accessible.

Through the Kaagapay Community Mental Health Program 2026, Sol Psychological Services continues to build mental health programs grounded in barangay realities: practical, inclusive, and sustainable.

Because healing should not be distant; it must live in the community.

The Kaagapay Community Mental Health Program 2026 has entered a new phase: moving from consultations and screenings to psychoeducation sessions designed to empower, uplift, and support long-term healing.💛

This time, we sat with the women of Brgy. Hukay, the nurturers of families, the unseen counselors of their homes. Together, we created a space where they could reflect, ask questions, share laughter, and reconnect with their bodies.

Kasama ang mga ilaw ng tahanan ng Brgy. Carlosa, Calatagan, Batangas.

Pansamantalang itinigil ang gawain sa bahay, upang pakiramdaman ang sarili. Simple lang ang layunin ng programa: Magbigay ng ligtas na espasyo kung saan maaaring magpahinga ang isip, makinig sa damdamin, at muling kumonekta sa sariling pangangailangan.

Sa Brgy. Carlosa, ang mga upuan ay hindi lang para maupuan, sisidlan din ito ng mga kwentong kailangang mapakinggan, maging ng katahimikan, at malalakas na tawanan. Ang Kaagapay Program ay hindi lamang naghahatid ng impormasyon, nagdadala ito ng presensya. At para sa ilang mga ina na dumalo, ito ang unang hakbang patungo sa paghilom.

Nagsisimula ang gaan sa pakikinig, at nagsisimula rin ang paghilom sa pagkaunawa na hindi ka nag-iisa.

Nagpapasalamat kami sa lahat ng aming mga naging Kaagapay sa programang ito, ang SHARE Inc., Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, MSWDO Calatagan, at sa buong pamunuan ng Calatagan, Batangas.

Our Clinical Psychologist, Ms. Sol, is grateful for the early invitation to return to De La Salle University–Dasmariñas this March as a Resource Speaker, and always as a 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗗𝗟𝗦𝗨-𝗗 𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗮.

The upcoming session, “Integrity in Practice: Preparing Psychology Interns for Ethical and Professional Conduct,” will focus on ethical decision-making, professional boundaries, and the realities psychology interns will soon encounter in practice.

Thankful for the trust of the Philosophy and Psychology Department, and for the opportunity to contribute to the formation of future psychologists and psychometricians.

Group Psychotherapy Session for Children

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝. ✨🌱

We opened 2026 with a meaningful group psychotherapy session for children, an early step in what will be a year filled with sustainable, healing-centered, community-rooted mental health initiatives.

Through our 𝐊𝐚𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐲: 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 we continue our mission to create safe spaces. These children have already received mental health consultations and psychological screenings through our earlier initiatives. Now, through our group psychotherapy sessions, we begin the next step: focused intervention and ongoing support.

This is what sustainable mental health care looks like: continuity, commitment, and compassion in action, not a one-time event.

We extend our deepest thanks to our partners, SHARE Inc. and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, for standing with us in bringing mental health services to the communities that need them most.

We would also like to thank the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office and the Municipality of Calatagan, Batangas, for making this long-term impact possible. We are building not just services, but a system that stays.

More community-based activities are lined up throughout the year because mental health care should meet people where they are. 🌱
