Creating a sensory room isn’t important…

…it’s essential! Sensory rooms are vital for kids, and not just Neurodivergent children. Sensory rooms are meant to build all areas of a child’s sensory system not only to prevent learning challenges, but to support foundational learning elements in the classroom.

Sensory rooms don’t need to be extravagant or expensive. You can start out small and continue to add elements that target your child or student’s specific needs.

They are also wonderful for providing “calm down” spaces in classrooms or in schools when kids are feeling:

🧘‍♂️Overloaded
🧘‍♂️Emotional and can’t self-regulate
🧘‍♂️Triggered by too much sensory stimuli
🧘‍♂️Wild, rambunctious, lots of excess energy

Sa pagdiriwang ng World Hearing Day 2026, ihinahandog ng UST CRS Speech-Language Pathology Society, sa pakikipagtulungan sa Philippine Ambulatory Pediatric Association, Inc. at Samal North Elementary School, ay magsasagawa ng libreng hearing screening para sa mga bata.

⌛ KAILAN: Marso 7, 2026 (Simula 9:00 AM)
🗺️ SAAN: Samal North Elementary School Covered Court
🧒 SINO: Binibigyang prayoridad ang mga Kinder, Grade 1, at mga batang may hirap sa pag-aaral, pagsasalita, o may history ng ear infections, at komplikasyon mula sa sinapupunan.

📝 PAANO MAG-REHISTRO?
Bukas ang screening para sa UNANG 80 BATA na makakapag-rehistro; magpalista kay Principal Charito Corpus upang makakuha ng slot.

💡 PAALALA SA MGA MAGULANG:
✅ Libre ang hearing test.
✅ Kailangang samahan ang bata sa araw ng event.
✅ Magdala ng sariling ballpen.

Alamin natin ang ugat ng speech delay at tiyakin ang tamang school placement para sa ating mga anak. Napakahalaga ang malinaw na pandinig sa pag-aaral at pakikipag-usap ng isang bata, kaya’t huwag palampasin ang pagkakataong ito para sa maagang pagsusuri! Kita-kits po tayo! 💛
