🎄✨ PASKO SA TONGGO: Reaching Children Where They Are ✨🎄

Last December 29, the MHARS-MC Department of Pediatrics stepped outside hospital walls and into the homes and lives of the community we serve. Through our annual outreach activity, Pasko sa Tonggo: Reaching Children Where They Are, we were given the privilege of spending Christmas with around 130 Subanen children and their families from Sitio Tonggo.

For many of these children, the gifts, food packs, and shared moments of joy were more than holiday treats—they were a reminder that someone came for them, remembered them, and chose to meet them where they are 🎁✨
For us, it was a quiet reminder of why service matters.

This outreach was made possible through the generosity of many hearts. To everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this activity—your kindness became presence, and your presence was felt.

We are deeply grateful for the generous donations of our consultants, given with trust, sincerity, and a shared belief in reaching children beyond hospital walls. We are equally thankful to our residents, whose time, energy, and compassion helped turn these acts of generosity into moments of genuine care.

📢 MHARSMC Pediatrics joins the nation in celebrating August as National Lung Month!

In line with this, we also commemorate National TB Day tomorrow, August 19, 2025.
The MHARSMC Pediatric Residents will be holding a short lecture on Childhood Tuberculosis at 9:00 AM at OPD II.

We invite everyone to join us as we raise awareness and strengthen our fight against TB, especially in protecting the health of children.

Extending Healing Beyond the Hospital Walls 🩺🤝

MHARSMC Pediatric Residents with the support of the MHARSMC Pediatric Consultants reached out to our adopted community in Tonggo Tudela Misamis Occidental, bringing relief goods and hope to families affected by the recent fire.

In every shared smile and helping hand, we are reminded that compassion doesn’t end at the bedside—it reaches wherever it’s needed most. 💙
