I grew up knowing this allergy is called TAGULABAY or Skin Asthma. Its like having asthma, difficult to breathe and at the same time rashes grow on to the skin. Some say its deadly, because its not just the skin that is swelling but also the internal organs. I usually have this 1-2 times a year, since a child.
It starts like an insect bite then the tiny rashes connects to each other and forms like a map and swells. To say it is itchy is an understatement. My last major attack was in 2010, during a fun running event. (On the photo) Just when I was about to finish, mga 2Km na lang siguro, I started to feel itchy under my ears and catching my breath.
Suspects for this attack: Dust and smog in Kalayaan Ave Flyover
and the temperature that suddenly fluctuated that day. I still finished the race gasping for air and I can feel my face really puffing, I know I really looked like a dinosaur that time, like I always do whenever I have attacks. I went straight to the medic's tent and asked for antihistamine.
Its been almost 2 years now, I dont feel any signs of this allergy since I started using Stem Cell Activator patch in 2019. Whenever the cold season arrives I always brace myself to the possibility. I really hope the X39 did a great job "removing" the triggers inside my body and replaced it with better cells that are more useful to my life.
