Four decades ago, history was written not with weapons, but with prayers whispered in hope, hands joined in unity, and hearts brave enough to stand for freedom.
In February 1986, along the stretch of EDSA, millions of Filipinos chose courage over fear and peace over violence. The world witnessed how ordinary citizensโstudents, workers, parents, religious leaders, and soldiersโstood together to restore democracy.
As we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, may we not only remember the stories of bravery and sacrifice, but also reflect on our responsibility today.
The spirit of revolution lives on in every Filipino who stands for truth, justice, and accountability. May we continue to honor the legacy of those who fought for democracyโnot just in words, but in action.
