In line with Memorandum Circular No. 90 issued by the Office of the President upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) concerning continuous heavy rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon, work in all offices under the Provincial Government of Palawan is hereby suspended on July 23, 2025.

Sofronio Española District Hospital joins the nation in celebrating the 51st Nutrition Month with the theme: "Sa PPAN: Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!"and the sub-theme: "Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!"

This July, we proudly stand with the National Nutrition Council and communities nationwide in promoting the right of every Filipino to proper and sufficient nutrition. The celebration aims to raise awareness on food and nutrition security as a fundamental right, encourage active community involvement, and inspire collective action toward a healthier and well-nourished nation.

Sofronio Española District Hospital successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training last June 13–14, 2025, equipping our healthcare professionals and community partners with essential life-saving skills.

Participants learned critical techniques in CPR, airway management, and emergency response — empowering them to act swiftly and confidently in times of crisis.

A huge thank you to our dedicated trainers headed by Mr. Neil Abraham P. Espino, RN, EMT-B and to the office of Municipality of Sofronio Española LGU for the training venue and amenities and to all the enthusiastic participants for making this training a success!
