In celebration of National Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Week 2025, the Governor Benjamin T. Romualdez General Hospital and Schistosomiasis Center Infection Prevention and Control Unit Team organized the distribution of pocket alcohol to all healthcare workers across the institution. This simple yet meaningful initiative aimed to recognize the unwavering commitment of our frontline staff to maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention in patient care.

Pocket alcohol bottles were distributed as a token of appreciation and a practical aid to support daily hand hygiene practices. This gesture highlights the vital role of hand hygiene in safeguarding both patients and healthcare workers and reinforces our shared responsibility in promoting a culture of safety and infection prevention.

National IPC Week 2025 is an opportunity to celebrate the dedication of our healthcare workers, raise awareness about best IPC practices, and strengthen our ongoing efforts to prevent healthcare-associated infections. In line with this year’s theme, the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Unit of Governor Benjamin T. Romualdez General Hospital and Schistosomiasis Center proudly conducted an IPC Orientation on Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) for all healthcare workers. This initiative aimed to strengthen awareness, enhance knowledge, and promote best practices in preventing and controlling infections within the healthcare setting.
