We're on a home stretch for 2025!

We're not on holidays yet, but we'll be closing our clinic from Dec. 2 to 4. This is to give way for the ENT's annual convention.

You can still catch us at the clinic today until 3:30pm, and on Saturday from 9am to 2pm.

We'll be back on regular schedule after that until the holidays.

Lack of sleep can disrupt your metabolism and lead to weight gain even if you eat a healthy diet. When you do not get enough rest, your body produces less leptin, the hormone that signals fullness, and more ghrelin, which increases hunger. This makes you eat more and feel less satisfied. Sleep deprivation also slows metabolism, causing the body to store energy as fat instead of burning it efficiently. Over time, this hormonal and metabolic imbalance can lead to increased fat buildup, especially around the abdomen, creating a strong link between poor sleep and weight gain.

How Is Chronic Cough Related to ENT Problems?

Not all coughs are lung-related! Chronic cough (lasting >8 weeks) may be linked to ENT issues such as:
🔸 Post-nasal drip
🔸 Allergies
🔸 Acid reflux (LPR)
🔸 Vocal cord irritation
🔸 Throat lumps or masses

If cough persists despite treatment, consult your ENT for a full airway evaluation.

Should I Be Concerned if My Baby Doesn’t Startle at Loud Sounds?

Yes. Babies usually jump, blink, or cry when startled by sudden loud noise. If your baby doesn’t respond, it may indicate hearing impairment.

Ask your pediatrician or ENT for a newborn hearing screen. Early detection is crucial!
