Px: last year pa nga po talaga tong sugat ko doc. Nung nagpunta kami sa Negros, inakyat namin yung Mt. Kanlaon. Nilakad ko talaga un kahit may sugat nako.

Me: pinilit nyo pa rin kahit my sugat na paa nyo?

Px: oo doc. Tapos binabad ko sa hot spring sa Mt Kanlaon kasi sabi nila, nakahilom daw ng sugat.

Me: *stopped what I was doing*

*calmly* binabad nyo po talaga sa hot spring kahit na may sugat at manhid na mga paa nyo?

Px: *feeling proud of what he did* opo doc! Pinatagal ko pa nga ng 2.5hrs eh! Tapos, yung katabing hot spring na binabaran ng paa ko, pag naglubog ka daw ng itlog dun, ilang minuto lang, luto na!

Pag may diabetes po ang pasyente, isa sa mga complications nito ay

1. Numbness or pamamanhid sa mga kamay at paa

2. hindi kusang pag galing ng mga sugat

Kaya madalas, nagnanaknak na yung sugat, pero wala pa rin idea yung pasyente na may sugat sila.

So kung diabetic kayo, inspect your feet every night para sa mga possibleng sugat na hindi gumagaling.

And please lang. Wag nyo ibabad sa mainit na tubig. Baka mamaya, nalapnos na balat nyo, pero hindi nyo pa rinn namamalayan.
