A Treehouse Yoga Holy Week Special: Mindfulness and Insight in Watercolor, April 3, 2026, with T. —
🏡 Trivia: When Treehouse Yoga started 11 years ago, our brand tagline was "Yoga • Meditation • Art" and some of our yogis who are still active until today found us through our various art activities such as painting, calligraphy, and origami.
This year's pause on a Good Friday was honored through watercolor, an art medium that invites presence and reflection. Led by Teacher Rachel, they focused on the non-technical aspects of art creation, specifically on community, non-attachment, and approaching the activity with a beginner's mind, all derived from Zen Buddhist philosophy in approaching life and living. 📿 We advocate for engaged living— participating in the creation of one's life by learning how to pause and reflect through everyday activities as a strategy to improve decision-making during times of conflict, crisis, and high stress. 🙏🏼
In this event, were graced by hobbyists, meditators, professional artists, and complete newbies to the craft, and everyone created this beautiful mix of participants who were ready to learn and excited to create. 🤗
We are grateful to Curious Coffee and their team of amazing baristas and kitchen staff for the space and for providing us with their delicious food and drinks. 🥗☕️
To our participants— We hope you enjoyed this pause! Thank you for sharing parts of yourselves in this workshop and we hope to hold more spaces like this in the future. Suggestions are also welcome! 🤗
