These guidelines from the Council on the Welfare of Children also apply to parent vloggers who document their autism journey. Even parents and guardians need to be reminded of the human rights of children and youth on the autism spectrum in their care: (1) Protect their PRIVACY and identity. (2) Get their CONSENT before you film and post. If they cannot give informed consent, don't post. (3) Protect their DIGNITY. Never post videos of their most vulnerable moments -- example, meltdowns.
