May brother tayo na nagmessage hoping malaman niya kung may binebenta ako nito (wala po nito sa shop ko na Yooforia Supply), at inaasahan nyang makakuha ng idea kung may ka-bro rin tayong niresetahan nito, and also kung may cheaper alternative rin kasi sobrang mahal niya (P9000 daw ito sa isang hospital, at up to P27,000 kasi ito sa nabasa ko namang sikat na Pharmacy).

Wala akong alam na niresetahan na rin nito, kaya naman pinost ko na dahil umaasa rin ako na may same case, o 'di kaya naman makapag bigay ng impormasyon para matulungan natin si brother.

PAALALA: Ang pag-take ng testosterone for GAHT (gender affirming hormone therapy) para sa mga transgender ay nangangailangan ng patnubay ng "specific" na doctor. Kailangan po 'yan kasi ang doctor ang makakapagbigay ng tamang dosage. (Pagkatapos naman ng ilang buwan, may labtests para malaman kung kailangan ba i-adjust ang dosage. At kung normal ba lahat. Usually ginagawa ang labtests kada 3-6 months sa umpisa, at kada taon naman katagalan.)

BURNING QUESTION:
"E bakit ako wala namang doctor, okay naman ako?"
"May kakilala ako self medicate lang, wala namang nangyayaring masama sa kanya."

ANSWER: May tinatawag pong asymptomatic. This means Kahit may mali na sa katawan mo ay hindi halata. Magiging "halata" nalang siya kapag nasa malalang stage na. Remember Covid? Remember may mga positive pero asymptomatic?

Madami akong kilalang nagsimula mag self-medicate, at ngayon may mga gamot na silang tine-take as maintenance, o gamot para kontrahin 'yong negative na nagawa ng ilang taong pag-self medicate. (Masaya ako na hindi pa huli nang magpa-doctor sila na marunong talaga sa mga transgender.)

Diba kahit 'yong mga may doctor na ay nakakaranas pa rin ng mga "hindi normal" na effects, paano pa kaya 'yong mga walang doctor?
