OK LANG BA KUNG MAY GANITO SI BABY NA KAPAPANGANAK?

Pseudomenstruation (o false menstruation) sa newborn baby girl ay normal at pansamantalang paglabas ng kaunting dugo mula sa puwerta ng sanggol sa unang ilang araw ng buhay.

✅ Ano ito?

Ang pseudomenstruation ay nangyayari dahil sa biglang pagbaba ng maternal estrogen matapos ipanganak ang sanggol.
Habang nasa loob ng tiyan, mataas ang hormones ng nanay kaya nakaapekto ito sa endometrium ng baby. Paglabas niya, bumababa bigla ang estrogen — kaya nagkakaroon ng menstruation-like reaction.

✅ Clinical Features

Kaunting light bleeding o pinkish discharge
Maaaring may whitish discharge bago o pagkatapos (physiologic leukorrhea)
Lumalabas 2–10 days after birth
Tumitigil within 2–3 days

✅ Normal ba ito?

✅ Oo, normal at hindi delikado.
Hindi ito sign ng sakit o problema sa reproductive tract.

✅ Kailan dapat magpatingin sa doktor?
Mag-seek medical attention kung:
Tumagal ng higit 1 linggo
Sobrang dami ng dugo
May foul smell
May kasamang fever, irritability, o poor feeding

✅ Management

No treatment needed
Gentle cleaning lang; walang internal cleaning
Huwag lagyan ng anumang ointment o cream sa loobsa newborn baby girl ay normal at pansamantalang paglabas ng kaunting dugo mula sa puwerta ng sanggol sa unang ilang araw ng buhay.
