‼️Maging Respawnsible Pet Owner to Stay Paw-tected‼️

Every newborn deserves the best start in life. At RHU Parang, we continue to strengthen our commitment to protecting the health and future of every child through Newborn Screening (NBS).

Recently, another set of newborns successfully underwent the NBS pricking, a simple yet life-saving procedure that allows the early detection of congenital and metabolic disorders. Through early screening, these conditions can be identified and treated promptly, preventing serious health complications and ensuring that babies grow healthy and strong.

At RHU Parang, we strongly advocate that every newborn be screened, because a tiny prick today can mean a lifetime of healthier tomorrows. Our dedicated health workers remain committed to ensuring that all newborns receive this essential service as part of quality maternal and child health care.

Together, let us protect the future of our children—support Newborn Screening and give every baby the healthy beginning they deserve. 💙👶✨

In its continuous commitment to promoting mental wellness among the youth, the Adolescent Health and Development Program of RHU Parang conducted a health education session focusing on adolescent mental health with the theme “Ako Naman Muna.”

This activity encouraged teens to prioritize their mental health, practice self-care, and openly share their thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive space. Through meaningful discussions, the youth were reminded that taking care of their mental well-being is just as important as caring for their physical health.

RHU Parang remains dedicated to empowering young people by promoting awareness, strengthening support systems, and creating safe spaces where the youth can grow, express themselves, and thrive.

Routine Immunization in every Barangay Health Station remains a top priority in our continuous fight against Vaccine-Preventable Diseases. Through the dedication of our health workers, efforts are extended to reach every eligible child by establishing Fixed and Temporary Fixed Post sites, ensuring wider coverage and improved access to essential vaccines.

We also commend the unwavering support of our certified BakunaNay and PapaVaccines who consistently show up and actively participate during their children’s immunization schedules. Your commitment plays a vital role in building a healthier and protected community.

Together, let us continue to protect every child — one vaccine at a time. 💉✨

The Rural Health Unit of Parang once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to accessible and inclusive healthcare through the conduct of Purokalusugan in the coastal Sitio of Batog, Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.

Despite the challenging terrain—requiring a hike and even crossing the sea to reach the mainland—the dedicated team from BHS Polloc went the extra mile to ensure that no resident is left behind when it comes to health services. This initiative reflects RHU Parang’s strong mission: bringing quality healthcare closer to every community, especially those in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

Through its All-In-One Health Services, RHU Parang delivered comprehensive and holistic care, including:

✔️ Health and Wellness Seminar for Solo Parents – In partnership with BS Social Work intern students of Illana Bay Integrated Computer College, Inc., the seminar focused on emotional, mental, and overall wellness awareness to empower solo parents in navigating daily challenges.
✔️ Nutritional Education, Assessment, and Counseling – Promoting proper nutrition to ensure healthier families and prevent malnutrition.
✔️ Family Planning Services – Strengthening awareness on the importance of responsible parenthood and informed family planning decisions.
✔️ Dental Hygiene Services for Children – Aiming to prevent cavities and instill the value of proper oral hygiene at an early age.
✔️ Catch-Up Immunization (0–23 months old) – Tracking and updating vaccination status to protect children against preventable diseases.

This proactive outreach highlights RHU Parang’s dedication to improving healthcare access, promoting preventive care, and uplifting the overall well-being of coastal residents.

Through initiatives like Purokalusugan, RHU Parang continues to prove that distance and challenges will never be barriers to delivering compassionate, quality, and community-centered healthcare.

The Local Government of Parang, through its Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), successfully conducted a Barangay Information Drive Against Illegal Drugs at Sarilikha Village, Brgy. Sarmiento, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.

This meaningful initiative was spearheaded by Hon. Mayor Cahar Ibay, together with Member of Parliament Hon. Ibrahim Ibay, and strongly supported by key partner agencies including the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Marine Corps, various community groups, youth organizations, and other stakeholders.

The Rural Health Unit of Parang (RHU Parang) actively participated in the drive by providing vital information on the health effects of drug abuse—highlighting its physical, psychological, and social consequences. Through health education and community engagement, RHU Parang reinforced the message that preventing drug abuse is not only a law enforcement concern but also a public health priority.

This collaborative effort demonstrates the strong unity and shared commitment of government agencies, uniformed personnel, health workers, and the community in building a safe, resilient, and drug-free Parang.

Together, we stand firm in protecting our families, empowering our youth, and securing a brighter future for every Parangeño.
Indeed, this initiative marks another milestone in our collective journey toward ending illegal drugs and strengthening safer communities for all.
