The Local Government of Parang, through its Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), successfully conducted a Barangay Information Drive Against Illegal Drugs at Sarilikha Village, Brgy. Sarmiento, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.
This meaningful initiative was spearheaded by Hon. Mayor Cahar Ibay, together with Member of Parliament Hon. Ibrahim Ibay, and strongly supported by key partner agencies including the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Marine Corps, various community groups, youth organizations, and other stakeholders.
The Rural Health Unit of Parang (RHU Parang) actively participated in the drive by providing vital information on the health effects of drug abuse—highlighting its physical, psychological, and social consequences. Through health education and community engagement, RHU Parang reinforced the message that preventing drug abuse is not only a law enforcement concern but also a public health priority.
This collaborative effort demonstrates the strong unity and shared commitment of government agencies, uniformed personnel, health workers, and the community in building a safe, resilient, and drug-free Parang.
Together, we stand firm in protecting our families, empowering our youth, and securing a brighter future for every Parangeño.
Indeed, this initiative marks another milestone in our collective journey toward ending illegal drugs and strengthening safer communities for all.
