The Ministry of Health BARMM conducted a Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) visit in the Municipality of Parang to assess the progress and coverage of the ongoing Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA).

The team began the day with a courtesy call to Municipal Mayor Hon. Cahar P. Ibay, together with Vice Mayor Hon. Abdul Aziz Mahal Ali and First Kagawad Hon. Engr. Abdul Rakman Ganduan, to present the purpose of their visit and monitoring activities. Both local leaders expressed their full support and commitment to the program, reaffirming the Local Government Unit’s strong partnership in protecting every child through immunization.

The RCM team proceeded to cover four (4) barangays, where monitoring was carried out efficiently, yielding swift and encouraging results. The activity highlighted the dedication of our health workers, barangay officials, and community partners in ensuring that no eligible child is left behind.

This initiative strengthens our shared goal of achieving high vaccination coverage and safeguarding children against measles and rubella.

𝟎𝟐.𝟏𝟏.𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑’𝐒 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒

As part of its commitment to expanding maternal and child health services, the Safe Motherhood Program of RHU Parang, in collaboration with RBM Lying-In Clinic, successfully conducted a Mother’s Class for our pregnant mothers in the community.

The session covered the following important topics:
✔️ Importance of completing Antenatal Care (ANC)
✔️ Danger Signs during Pregnancy
✔️ Facility-Based Delivery
✔️ Newborn Screening

In addition, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and HIV among pregnant mothers were discussed to raise awareness about the potential risks of acquiring these infections during pregnancy and the importance of early prevention and testing.

This meaningful collaboration reflects the strong commitment of RHU Parang and RBM Lying-In Clinic in delivering quality, safe, and responsive care for every mother and child in the community.

𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 (𝐑𝐂𝐌)

The IPHO Maguindanao Technical Division conducted a Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) at RHU Parang, covering two barangays.

This activity aims to assess the coverage of the ongoing MRSIA vaccination campaign, identify gaps and challenges, and determine effective strategies to further widen vaccination coverage.

A feedback session was held at the Operations Center where findings and recommendations were discussed. All suggestions were carefully noted and relayed to the RHU staff to strengthen and improve the implementation of activities.

Together, we continue working to ensure every eligible child is protected.

RHU Parang warmly welcomes a healthy baby girl who was successfully delivered via NSVD.

⚖️ Birth Weight: 3.0 kg

The delivery was skillfully handled by Sittie Haine Diron, RM, assisted by Bai Rahma Batua, RM, under the supervision of Isabelita Engada, RM, Midwife Supervisor.

Comprehensive health education was provided to the parents, highlighting the importance of Newborn Screening, Family Planning, Immunization, and Breastfeeding to ensure the baby’s healthy start in life.

Key updates were shared, with focused discussions on program implementation, accurate recording, and proper reporting—strengthening the team’s commitment to delivering quality immunization services for the community.

The BLGU Poblacion II successfully conducted a Women Empowerment Training, highlighting the vital role of women in nurturing healthy families and communities. The training focused on Child and Maternal Care and Sexual and Reproductive Health, equipping women with knowledge to make informed and empowered health decisions.

As part of the activity, Ms. Liezette Marie Bisnar, RN served as the Resource Person on Family Planning, emphasizing women’s rights to choose, plan, and protect their reproductive health. This initiative strengthened women’s confidence, awareness, and capacity to take charge of their well-being and that of their families.

Ang Department of Health–CHD Northern Mindanao nagpahibalo sa tanan mahitungod sa mga na post sa social media bahin sa giingong dautang epekto sa Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine, kini wala pa mapamatud-an.

Sa pagkakaron, wala’y ebidensya nga ang bakuna maoy hinungdan sa giingong mga sintomas, ug ang mga eksperto naghimo na og imbestigasyon bahin niini. Gusto namong ipa abot sa publiko nga ang MR vaccine luwas, epektibo, ug dugay na natong gigamit para maprotektahan ang mga bata batok sa tipdas ug rubella.

Likayan nato ang pagpakaylap og mga posts nga dili sigurado o unverified kay naghatag lang kini og kahadlok ug kalibog. Giawhag ang tanang mga ginikanan nga dili mahadlok ug padayon nga pabakunahan ang inyong mga anak sa pinakaduol nga health center.
