Ang pamunuan ng Rap ‘n Tell ay buong pusong nakikiisa at sumusuporta sa Measles Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) ng RHU Parang. Sa diwa ng bayanihan at malasakit sa kalusugan ng kabataan, naglaan sila ng One-Stop Shop Vaccination Fixed Post Site sa loob mismo ng kanilang tindahan upang mas mapalapit at mapadali ang pagbabakuna para sa lahat.

🤝 Ang matibay na ugnayan ng pribadong sektor at ng RHU Parang ay patunay na ang pagprotekta sa mga bata laban sa tigdas at rubella ay isang sama-samang responsibilidad.

Bilang tugon sa mga naitatalang kaso ng pagtatae, nagsagawa ng Health Education and Promotion ang mga masisipag na Health Workers ng Bongo Island, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte upang palakasin ang kaalaman ng komunidad sa kahalagahan ng WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene).
Binigyang-diin sa aktibidad ang napakahalagang papel ng malinis na kapaligiran, wastong paghahanda at pagluluto ng pagkain, at ang pagtiyak na malinis at ligtas ang iniinom na tubig upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng sakit. Hinihikayat ang bawat pamilya na panatilihin ang kalinisan sa loob at paligid ng tahanan bilang unang depensa laban sa pagtatae at iba pang water-borne diseases.
Pinapaalalahanan din ang lahat na agarang magtungo sa Health Center sa oras na makaranas ng mga sintomas tulad ng pagsusuka at tuloy-tuloy na pagtatae, upang agad na mabigyan ng tamang lunas at maiwasan ang mas malalang komplikasyon.

Ang kalusugan ng komunidad ay responsibilidad nating lahat. Sama-sama nating pangalagaan ang kalinisan para sa mas ligtas at mas malusog na Bongo Island. 💙

The National Nutrition Council (NNC) joins the nation in observing Goiter Awareness Week 2026, an annual campaign aimed at increasing public awareness on Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) and promoting proper nutrition for optimal thyroid health.
Goiter is a preventable condition, primarily caused by inadequate iodine intake, yet it remains a public health concern affecting individuals across all ages. Left unaddressed, iodine deficiency can impair growth, development, and overall well-being.

This year, the NNC calls on individuals, families, communities, and local government units to take proactive action by ensuring adequate iodine intake through the use of iodized salt, consumption of a balanced diet, and regular health check-ups. Strengthening nutrition education and awareness is key to preventing goiter and other iodine deficiency–related disorders.

Together, let us work towards empowering every Filipino to protect their thyroid health and achieve overall wellness, as we support the shared vision of a healthier nation free from preventable nutrition-related conditions

RHU Parang recently conducted a Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) in Barangay Nituan following its achievement of 99% coverage in the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA).

The activity aimed to validate immunization coverage, ensure the quality of service delivery, and confirm that eligible children in the barangay were successfully reached. The results reflect the strong collaboration and dedication of our health workers, barangay officials, and community partners.

We commend Barangay Nituan for its commitment to protecting children against measles and rubella. This milestone serves as an inspiration to continue strengthening immunization efforts across the municipality.

RHU Parang recently welcomed Jhpiego Gabay Bakuna representatives Ma’am Julie Villadolid and Sir John Kirvy Matias for a monitoring and coordination visit aimed at identifying areas where Jhpiego can provide technical assistance and support to strengthen immunization implementation in the municipality.

The visit focused on assessing current immunization activities, discussing on-the-ground challenges, and exploring possible interventions to further improve service delivery, demand generation, and overall program performance.

RHU Parang sincerely appreciates the continued partnership and support of Jhpiego Gabay Bakuna, Ma’am Julie Villadolid, and Sir John Kirvy Matias in advancing quality immunization services and ensuring better protection for our children.

The Department of Health – Central Office, Ministry of Health BARMM, and IPHO-Maguindanao conducted a monitoring and supervisory visit to RHU Parang to assess the progress of the ongoing Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) in the municipality.

The activity focused on reviewing implementation status, validating accomplishments, identifying gaps and challenges, and providing technical guidance to further improve immunization service delivery across all barangays. Recommendations were shared to help ensure the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the MRSIA implementation.

RHU Parang extends its sincere appreciation to DOH Central Office, MOH BARMM, and IPHO-Maguindanao for their guidance, support, and continued commitment to protecting children against measles and rubella.
