PNP HALTS 3 TRUCKS HAULING 75 TONS OF PORK FOR MISSING DOCUMENTS

Three Isuzu trucks transporting frozen boneless pork products totaling an estimated seventy-five (75) tons were impounded in Sta. Maria, Bulacan by the police on Saturday after the drivers failed to present documents proving the legality and provenance of the cargo. The PNP, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., continues to intensify operations that ensure the safety of motorists and compliance with transport laws.

The operation, conducted at around 10:10 AM on January 31, 2026, was carried out by mobile patrol personnel of Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3 (RHPU3) while enforcing Republic Act No. 10883, Republic Act No. 4136, and Presidential Decree No. 96.

During the operation, three trucks were flagged down and impounded due to various traffic and registration violations. Truck CCB 7627 was cited for non-wearing of seatbelt and failure to carry the Official Receipt. Truck CBJ 5161 was cited for non-wearing of seatbelts by both driver and passenger and for being unregistered. Truck CBP 1065 violated PD 96, did not wear seatbelts, and failed to carry the Certificate of Registration. Upon inspection, drivers disclosed that the trucks were transporting frozen boneless pork products totaling an estimated seventy-five (75) tons but could not present the necessary documents proving legality and provenance. Verification through the HPG Vehicle Information Management System (VIMS) confirmed that the trucks are not listed under any nationwide alarm or stolen vehicle database. The impounded trucks were turned over to the concerned HPG unit for further investigation and proper disposition.

“We will not tolerate any violation of transport laws. Drivers must have the proper documents or face immediate consequences,” PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said. “Ang sinumang lumalabag sa batas ay mananagot sa hustisya.”

The operation reflects the PNP’s Focused Agenda on Enhanced Managing Police Operations, demonstrating proactive enforcement that safeguards both motorists and transported goods while preventing unlawful activities on the road.

“Operations like this demonstrate that our police units are vigilant and precise in enforcing the law,” PGEN Nartatez Jr. added. “Ang bawat aksyon ng PNP ay planado at layuning tiyakin ang kaayusan sa kalsada.”

The PNP continues to enforce laws against vehicle violations and unsafe transport practices, upholding the principles of ‘Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman,’ in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
