country’s top government hospital by American newsweekly, Newsweek, and global data platform Statista in the World's Best Hospitals 2026 list.

UP-PGH also ranked sixth overall among the best hospitals in the Philippines with a score of 85.32%.

The World’s Best Hospitals list by Newsweek and Statista aims to serve as a practical resource for patients, families and health care leaders seeking insight into some of the world’s most respected medical institutions. More than 2,500 hospitals across 32 countries were assessed in this year’s evaluation.

This well-deserved honor reflects UP-PGH’s unwavering commitment to honor, excellence, and public service in tirelessly delivering quality and accessible comprehensive healthcare to Filipinos, especially the poor and marginalized.
