The training session was facilitated by Professor Kenneth Nyl C. Oresco, RGC, LPT, who also serves as the Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Director of Guidance and Counseling Services. He delivered a meaningful discussion on โLeadership with Empathy and Responsibility: The Role of Student Leaders in Creating Safe and Supportive Spaces.โ His talk emphasized the importance of compassion and accountability among student leaders in building a positive and inclusive campus environment.
The program also introduced the KAAGAPAY Adviser for Academic Year 2025โ2026, Ms. Shaina Bernal, LPT, the Associate of the Office of Student Affairs and Guidance, with the full support of the Central Student Council (CSC) President, Ms. Ivy N. Ellamil.
The event concluded with the certification of the newly trained Peer Facilitators, led by Ms. Honey Kent C. Mayuga, Chairperson of the KAAGAPAY Program. These student facilitators are now equipped to advocate for mental health awareness and promote a safe, compassionate, and inclusive environment within the City University of Pasay.
Through KAAGAPAY, the CUP continues to nurture student leaders who guide with compassion, lead with purpose, and serve as pillars of support for the fellow CUPians.
