Our sincerest appreciation and gratitude go to Eucharistic Minister of Christ the King Parish, Mr. John Heredia, for including our elders in his noble mission to bring people closer to our Lord.

He and his kind group regularly visit our home to administer the Sacrament of Holy Communion and share Bible teachings to our patients. 🙏🏻🫶🏻

In HN, we value, first and foremost, the spiritual growth of our patients. With a strong faith comes a positive mindset for a healthy and happy life.

Our elders are into number matching activities these days! It’s an eezy breezy task all the way for them when it comes to mathematics!

HN is indeed not just a happy shelter for elders but a team of patients who are constantly improving mentally and intellectually despite age & dementia.

Ice cream for the summer days 🌞🍦🌤️🍦😎

Summertime is on and our elders are enjoying the season and beating the heat with scoops of their fave ice cream flavors!

Our patients are rewarded with things they love after every activity. After all they deserve to be appreciated for their enthusiasm and persitence in doing fruitful tasks.

A naughty activity indeed, this particular task significantly tests our patients patience! There is no giving up for our elders though as they demonstrate all the concentration they need to finish the activity with flying colors!

Going back in time with Montessori-inspired activities 👧👶🏻🥰

Forever young is what HN wants its elders to feel. Hence, we design activities which gives them a happy nostalgic feeling of their younger years.

Transferring ball activities have always been a popular learning and training tools for children. Our tasks may look simple but they are designed with a little difficulty to challenge our patients’ cognitive and physical abilities.

Our patients were given a feel of fishing using balls and basins. An improvised low-impact activity, it is a simple physical and mental task which boosts sharpness, control and balance.

An afternoon of outdoor activity couldn’t get any better and more fun with a playlist of dance music background, which our elders are all familiar with.

The quantity matching /puzzle task is a simple yet engaging activity which improves memory and promotes cognitive stimulation.

It is through our art activities that our elders are given the time to express their thoughts & feelings. The simple choice of colors & their chosen subject speak so much of their creative minds and pent up emotions. These activities are fun therapy to promote a sound mental health.

It’s always a wonderful sight when our elders feel so much joy from accomplishing challenging tasks.

The color matching activities for our patients are designed to promote cognitive function, focus and fine motor skills. These types of task, when done regularly, slows down dementia among our elders.

Keeping up with the red cups 🥫🥫🥫😂😂😂

The red cups are out once again and our elders are up to a difficult activity which tests their concentration & memory skills. Looks simple? Not quite. Because it takes extraordinary focus specially at their age & condition to win this game. Hard game for our patients but tgey are loving it and not giving up!
