Day 3 Completed โ
Wednesday is a new day and I'm sure that topics like chemistry and physics for biomed technician/engineers, and the fundamentals of electronics and electricity, with a bit of board exam question and answer portion, are kinda refreshing to our participants as they reminisce their university days. We've encountered some technical issues (power outage) but the training workshop must go on and they were be able to learn the importance of nebulizer, CPAP, BiPap, and suction machine and how do we usually conduct the performance verification/inspection of these units.

Biomedical technology is continuously changing and with the increase knowledge and skills offered by this course, it will provide functional skills and professional competencies needed by biomedical technicians/engineers.
The Biomedical Technology Course I is a 50-Hour didactic and hands on training that will provide the needed technical and professional competencies
Course Provider
Medical Equipment Healthcare Group, Inc was founded in Kamuning, Quezon City in 2005 with more than 20 yearsโ experience in Healthcare Technology Management. It was registered with the Security Exchange Commission on August 11, 2005.
MEDEQUIP office is located in Unit W-1201A West Tower, PSEC Exchange Road Ortigas Center Barangay San Antonio, Pasig City with a floor area of 109 square meters.
Medical Equipment Healthcare Group, Inc. is currently accredited to ISO 17020 Standard Inspection Body (Type C) by the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB) with its validity until February 2028. Its scope of accreditation covers 31 Medical Equipment.
MEDEQUIP achieved its' ISO 9001:2015 certification last November 2020, with the scope of activities: "Repair, Maintenance, Verification and Calibration services, Biomedical Inspection, Management Consultancy for Healthcare Services."
Program Outcome
1. To have a clear understanding of biomedical equipment technicianโs role in the healthcare industry.
2. To have the needed knowledge and skills possessed by biomedical equipment technician
3. To perform inspection and preventive maintenance to commonly used medical equipment in the hospitals and stand-alone clinics
4. The learn how to use different test instruments in performing inspection of various medical equipment
5. To help prepare students to take further competency examinations such as TESDA NC II and possibly BMET
Employment
Healthcare industry is a fast-growing field and one of the fast-growing jobs in the Philippines and abroad. Medical Equipment Healthcare Group, Inc. (MEDEQUIP) is an ISO 17020:2012 accredited company composed of a group of engineers, technicians and physicians experienced in providing technical support to hospitals.
Founded in Kamuning, Quezon City in 2005 where our headquarters remain today, a team of physicians and engineers realized the need for quality equipment, preventive maintenance, and servicing of medical equipment thus MEDEQUIP was born.
Since then we have applied our expertise and experience ensuring our clients use equipment serviced to the highest international standards to provide a safer patient experience. This is at the heart of everything we do and we are driven to provide programs and equipment aligned to patient focused care (i.e. Interdisciplinary, safe, and monitored). Our clients have since grown to include individuals, small clinics, and more than 30 private and government hospitals.
Our services range from preventive maintenance of biomedical equipment where we offer both In-house technicians at your premises or a Comprehensive maintenance schedule where our technicians visit your hospital as per an agreed schedule. We also offer rental of medical equipment not limited to Ventilators (both adult and infant), Oxygen concentrators, patient monitors, among others.
We believe in lifelong learning and continuous improvement. We train our own technicians, and in the process retains staff who embraces the core company values of caring, integrity, commitment, social responsibility and excellence.
