If coaching education actually worked, we wouldnโt be seeing so many certified graduates quietly struggling to build sustainable practices.
And yet thatโs the pattern.
The industry continues to grow. Certification programs multiply. Marketing around coaching has never been louder. At the same time, a significant number of newly certified coaches find themselves unable to translate their training into consistent income or long-term practice.
That gap tells us something important.
It suggests something about how coaching is being taught โ not about whether coaching is valuable.
Because when coaching is practiced well, its impact is real.
At its core, life coaching helps people move from intention to ex*****on. It is not therapy, which works primarily with healing the past. It is not consulting, which centers on expert instruction. It is not mentoring, which draws from lived experience to guide another.
Coaching is structured forward development.
It helps individuals clarify what they actually want, identify the patterns that keep them stalled, take deliberate action, and remain accountable long enough for real change to take hold.

If youโre a certified coach who feels the gap between training and real practice, donโt ignore it.
Examine how you were formed.
Look closely at what was taught โ and what was not.
Sustainable coaching work is not built on inspiration alone. It is built on structure, discernment, and disciplined application.
If you are serious about practicing coaching, not just holding certification, then start there.
๐ Revisit your foundations.
๐ Strengthen what was missing.
๐ Build deliberately.
The profession deserves that level of care.
