Filipino Christmas traditions are a mix of native, Hispanic, and American practices, with celebrations emphasizing kinship and the nativity of Jesus.

*Rizal Day is a Philippine national holiday commemorating life and works of José Rizal, a national hero of the Philippines. It is celebrated every December 30, the anniversary of Rizal's 1896 ex*****on at Bagumbayan in Manila.

*In the Philippines, New Year's Day (January 1) is a Regular Holiday, with the preceding December 31 (Last Day of the Year) declared a Special (Non-Working) Day, creating a long weekend and festive period for celebrations, with the government often declaring work suspensions for public employees on Dec 29 and Jan 2 for extended breaks.
