Hi everyone,

The typhoon is approaching. Please follow these reminders for you to stay safe.

β˜” Keep calm, stay indoors during heavy rain and strong winds.
β˜” Make sure windows and doors are closed and locked.
β˜” Avoid contact with flood water as it may be contaminated and can cause diseases like leptospirosis, diarrhea, and skin infections. Wear rubber boots and gloves if you must go through water.
β˜” Avoid low-lying or flood-prone areas and don’t try to cross flooded streets.
β˜”οΈ Stock up on non-perishable food and drinking water in your room, preferably easy-to-prepare or ready-to-eat foods.
β˜” Have flashlights, candles, extra batteries, and power banks ready. Charge your devices beforehand.
β˜” Keep medicines, blankets, and warm clothing within reach and keep a small first-aid kit ready.
β˜” Save emergency contacts like MDDRO hotlines, family/relatives, neighbors, and local authorities.
β˜” Secure personal belongingsβ€” electronics, documents, and valuablesβ€”preferably in waterproof containers or higher spots.
β˜” Avoid using electrical appliances during blackouts or lightning storms.
β˜” Stay updated with weather alerts, municipal announcements, and local news.
β˜” Stay safe and take care of yourself

Let’s all stay calm and alert during this time. Check on your family, friends, and neighbors, especially those who may need help. Remember, preparation and cooperation can save lives. Stay safe, stay informed, and take care of one another. πŸ’™πŸŒ§οΈ

Empowered and Equipped! πŸ’ͺπŸ§—β€β™‚οΈ
On May 5, 2025, the G12 STEM-Eros students, together with the SDRRM Club and Red Cross Club, participated in a meaningful and empowering training focused on First Aid, Ropemanship, and Rappelling.

The training was facilitated by the dedicated teams from the MDRRMO Patnongon, RHU Patnongon and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), who shared their time, skills, and real-life knowledge to help us become more prepared and confident in times of emergency.

This activity wasn’t just about learning techniques it was about building teamwork, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility to our community. From applying first aid to navigating rope systems and experiencing the thrill of rappelling, every moment was packed with growth and excitement!

A huge thank you to our ever-supportive Teachers, Ma’am Annabel C. Camposano, RN and Sir Carlos Marcelino, SDRRM adviser and also to our ANHS MEDIC SY 2024-2025 for continuously guiding and inspiring us to become future-ready and disaster-resilient youth.

Aureliana National High School Conducts Life-Saving Training for G11 STEM Hera Students

In an effort to promote safety, preparedness, and community resilience, the Aureliana National High School Medical Team, in partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), successfully conducted a comprehensive emergency response training for the Grade 11 STEM Hera students.

The training covered vital components including First Aid demonstrations, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Bandaging Techniques, giving students practical and theoretical knowledge on how to respond during medical emergencies. Through interactive sessions and live demonstrations, students were taught how to assess emergency situations, perform CPR, manage wounds, and stabilize patients until professional medical help arrives.

The MDRRMO’s presence and collaboration significantly enhanced the training, bringing in professional experience, real-world scenarios, and key insights on disaster preparedness. Their contribution highlighted the importance of timely and effective response, especially in critical situations such as natural disasters, accidents, and health emergencies.

This initiative not only empowered students with essential life-saving skills but also instilled a sense of civic duty, teamwork, and confidence in handling emergencies. The training is part of the school's ongoing commitment to holistic education and community engagement, ensuring that students are not only academically equipped but also prepared to take on real-life responsibilities.

The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to the MDRRMO and all facilitators who made this training possible. Together, we build a safer and more resilient future.
